MVN TIMES JUNIOR Edition – I April – June 2021 A Sunrise & Sunset reminds us of new beginnings and the hope of a better tomorrow. - Richard Kraczyk

Dear Parents Welcome to the first Newsletter “MVN TIMES” of the academic session 2021-22 as we enter the second year of Virtual Learning with full gusto. The support of parents, enthusiasm of our students and dedication of our teaching faculty have always been instrumental in aiding and augmenting our purpose. A really big ‘Well Done!’ to the children. Things have changed enormously for them over the past one year and we are very proud of how our little ones have adapted to the changes that have happened. We have realised that the only way to sail through this situation is Hope & Positivity, and it applies to every area of our lives, no matter how trying the circumstances we can surely emerge as victors if there is hope brimming in our hearts and above all the belief to “Win”. We should consider that education is not just the process of achieving a certificate with professional knowledge, skills, ethical values and beliefs; rather it is a tool to empower us and help us in developing and evolving into a better being. Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan said “The end-product of education should be a free creative man, who can battle against historical circumstances and adversities of nature.” Our young minds are filled with energy and we as their guides have made sure that this robustness is channelized appropriately while also learning something new, exciting and meaningful. Through effective tools that focus on holistic growth and nurturing human values, we have ensured that our class room sessions are planned in such a way that they help our young learners to be emotionally stronger, mentally healthier and better equipped to manage the challenges of the real world and for the same we had organised various activities to keep them occupied like Magic of Science, Earth Day, Mother’s Day, Book Week to name a few.

To help them keep their creative Ninja alive we have decided to keep Saturday club activities which will further sharpen their soft skills, leadership drive, technical expertise and most importantly their creative pursuit. We want our young MVNites to be Inquirers who develop their natural curiosity through inquiry and research. For them to actively enjoy learning and for this love of learning to continue throughout their lives we have started the Young Explorer Series whereby they can conduct science experiments, make models and share the excitement and learning outcome through recorded videos with us and their friends. We look forward to your active collaboration as in the past, so that we can accomplish the best for our children. With our good wishes for a happy and fruitful new academic year. Regards Ms. Tanu Khattar Ms. Vandana Laul Primary Coordinators

FEAR ZONE – HOW TO HANDLE IT We all are going through very tough times of our lives. This pandemic has created huge disruption in our daily routines. We all are trying hard to cope up but it is tough to keep ourselves stress free at times. With so many mis-happenings around where people are even losing lives, we all are frightened for the safety of our near and dear ones. So there is a FEAR ZONE around where we are feeling helpless and full of uncertainty. The media and daily updates are increasing the fear in our minds. Many of us are overthinking, having sleep problems, bad mood and lots of stress. Is there anything that we can do to get away from this fear zone? Let me give you some options. Learning zone: As we are spending more time at homes with our family, we may spend some time in the learning zone by learning the importance of things usually taken for granted, like our family and friends, our homes, our helpers, etc. By showing gratitude for what we have, we can move away from fear zone at least for some time. Growth zone: Have a close look at yourself and see how your personality has improved in the last one and half year! Don’t you think you have become mentally stronger, more patient, more skillful and even more responsible? This is the growth of your personality. Spend more time in this growth zone by developing empathy and becoming more independent. This will definitely take you away from the fear zone. Action zone: This is the most important and vibrant zone. Take action. Despite being confined in the homes, you still have the option to make a difference by taking some actions for others. Spread good vibes, check on your family and friends, and talk to family members who are stressed out. If nothing, it may create a difference in their day. Please do not just stay confined in your rooms engaging in your own entertainment. Extend the helping hand to family members, interact with grandparents and play with siblings. There may be someone nearby who is taking too much stress. Observe others around and extend a helping hand by listening to them, supporting them. These small acts not only help others around you, but also create confidence and joy in your life and pull you out from the fear zone. Let us all sail through this difficult time together not just by grappling with fear, but by learning, growing and acting to create positive vibes for ourselves as well as for others. With Best Wishes, Archana Bapat Counsellor, MVN
