As I watched her preparing to get items such as shoes, pants and shirts out to give away to the homeless, I was yet again amazed that she was not judgmental at all talking to this community of people. Lee Lee was very comfortable talking to people she didn’t know and who were without shoes and proper clothing. Lee Lee got right in there meeting their needs right where they were at, she was so gracious in the way she talked to everyone telling them, “I’m here to do acts of kindness for you!” “How do you know what an act of kindness is?” Cindy Noris asked. Wow! I thought to myself, what this world would be like if every young child was allowed to follow their heart to do acts of kindness as they chose to and not let the way people look or live stand in their way. This was a valuable lesson for me today as well. I learned that the eyes of a child are very different than the eyes of adults in how they see the world. The human- ity lies in love and not judgment.
