Iowa City CateringThe Bread Garden Bakery & Café originally opened in 1995 as an affiliate of Fresh FoodConcepts, which also currently owns and operates Mondo's Drafthouse, Joseph's Steakhouse, and Hot House Yoga. The Bread Garden Bakery & Café thrived on the street corners of Clintonand Burlington, celebrating a calm and close atmosphere endeared by students, faculty, artistsand residents alike. With its simple efficiency and modest layout, people lined up for anunrivaled quality of homemade cuisine. Following the success of the restaurant, owner JimMondanaro saw an avenue to other possibilities, and the result was a change in location in2008. As the tweak in the name suggests, Bread Garden Market was something distinctivelynew, without straying too far from the themes of its predecessor.Mustard Seed Gouda and Burga'ns Albarino Mustard Seed Gouda The addition of mustard seeds accentuates the natural tanginess of the Gouda and provides some texture to an otherwise creamy cheese. Pair this cheese with acidic wines and foods to bring out the mustard seed spice. We recommend Burga'ns Albarino.Burga'ns AlbarinoThe nose of this wine gives off tropical and stone fruit and it tastes of tart citrus, lime and greenapple. It finishes with a peppery spice with blends well with the Mustard Seed Gouda. Market Made Dried Pasta Our housemade dried pasta has finally hit the shelves! Now you can hoard your favorite handmade pasta in your pantry and send to your friends all over the country. Keep your eyes peeled for new flavors (spinach, carrot, tomato, and beet) and our favorite shapes.
