New duties - IPDG Velibor Zolak ARRFC FROM 1 JULY 2017 Completely personally \"We can, if we want\" is the slogan I started my term as a District Governor with. I have given my best, and the results followed. We have stopped a membership loss trend (we had been losing between 50 and 70 members every year), and we paid to the Foundation more than in the previous two years combined. We had an excellent presentation at the Zone Institute in Thessaloniki, where we attracted the greatest attention; we carried out a two-month District action; we have introduced a National Rotary Day in Serbia in a new and modern way; we organized the largest Rotary event in the history of District 2483 and observed the 100th anniversary of TRF with a great celebration at Hyatt Regency, which has significantly contributed to the improvement of our public image; we organized exhibitions of the Rotary and finished the year with a Rotary Conference to remember – the District Beach Conference at 4 venues over three days! In the meantime, our clubs had carried out many small and large actions and served their community. As of 1 July 2017, I will become a proud PDG, and also take over the duty of ARRFC – Assistant Regional Rotary Foundations Coordinator for Zone 20B to Yesim Yoney. The training for this post is already scheduled for 17 and 18 July 2017 in Thessaloniki, I have already received the manuals and, as always, am ready to learn and face new challenges! I would like to thank the District leadership for their help, because I would not have been able to do anything alone. One man does not make an orchestra. I would like to thank everybody who supported me. I have made a really impressive number of friends in Serbia, from Leskovac to Subotica. My deepest gratitude goes to everybody who opposed me – they are the ones who were giving me the greatest strength! Yours, Rtn. Velibor Zolak   Page11
