Final Draft EDITOR'S EYE Dear Reader, By the time you will be reading this, 2023 should have arrived (if the earth didn't end in an apocalypse) or will be arriving in 2-3 days. Well, the year ends every year and the new one comes. It does not make a large difference in seasons or anything but our perception makes it something significant. We intend to leave the bad, lazy habits and change ourselves to be better. And that’s not a bad thing. Keep making new year resolutions as always and try to fulfill them. My new year's resolutions? Well, till now I haven’t given that great thought. Thanks for asking. (I know you didn’t but anyways) Life is tough, isn’t it? But anyhow, keep reminding yourself it gets easier. Everyday it gets a little easier. But you gotta do it everyday. That's the hard part. But it does get easier. Keep oscillating between the ups and downs of life. Listen to Zindagi by Fiddlecraft or It'll be alright by Cody Francis. And we are here to make your life in Jaipur easier. We are back with yet another amazing edition ‘Jaipur Diaries’. This time the Q’n’S team did something unique and different. This edition contains a compilation of all the should-and-must- visit places in Jaipur. I am pretty sure you will get to know about some new places. Some places to go on weekends other than Nahargarh fort. So call your friends, ask them to read this edition, and plan next weekend's outing. Aur haa, abba bhi maan jayenge. Keep unfolding each page and take a tour of the glorious Pink City. Oh, I forgot, Happy new year. Mayank Gautam Editor-in-chief Quills ‘n’ Stills
A Token of Gratitude The final work you see here is made possible by the brilliant effort of the team. This edition was a bit different than our past editions, so more hard work was needed and the job was done excellently. We have to think many times over to choose what to include and what not. So first of all, I would like to thank all the members of the QnS team who did put all their efforts to create the best edition. All the writers who researched well and wrote creatively and all the designers, without whom this magazine will just be a plain textbook just like our academic ones. These people have spent hours of time thinking, rejecting, and recreating endlessly until the final outcome. I would also like to express my gratitude to all our institute faculty members, and staff members for their constant support since the inception of this magazine. Their support always inspires us to work better. I want to thank all the contributors who submitted their entries to us. This enthusiasm always motivates us. I would also like to thank you, readers, who chose to spend your time reading this magazine. We always make sure that you enjoy every second of your time. You can always send your valuable feedback to us. Have fun reading.

Quills'n'Stills Galtaji Temple By Tanya Rawal The not so popular temples and shrines of Galtaji are without a doubt the lesser known gems of Jaipur. But believe me, the tranquility of Galtaji answers all your questions. For those who don't know what exactly Galtaji is, It is basically an ancient Hindu pilgrimage about 10 km away from the east of Jaipur. The premises of Galtaji consists of a series of temples inscribed in the narrow crevices in the rings of the Aravali hills surrounding Jaipur. The entire complex has been intricately made using the famous pink sandstone. Pink sandstone is the actual identity of the pink city. The pavilions of the complex have elegant ceilings and walls with comprehensively carved pillars. The paintings on the ceilings and walls of the temples mostly depict stories from Hinduism and Indian mythology. The Galtaji Temple is stunning from both the outside and inside. Even though the location in itself is mesmerizing, the architecture is the cherry on the cake. The complex gives the most royal vibes with exquisite Rajasthani architecture surrounded by hills and trees. Inside the temple complex, wonderful paintings and carvings are giving you an idea of the details that went into its construction. When I visited Galtaji I was in paradise with soul-soothing tranquility. ocated on the outskirts of the beautiful Pink City, it is like an oasis of greenery. LBeautiful golden sandstone hills create a magical bowl and desert shrubs give them a green cover. Flowers bloom from the vibrant bougainvillea vines and a huge dust free blue sky smiles overhead. 35

The whole place echoes a lot of monkey hootings which seem to be quite soothing. There are stalls outside the premises selling food for the monkeys. But beware, if you have food, they might be to you. The flora, the fauna, the architecture, everything is just so calm, soothing, and peaceful.
