Global warming and how it affects the world   

Global warming  The  earth  is  an  amazing  planet,  but  we  have  done  a  lot  of  damage  to  it.  You  might  ask  “how  did  we  do  it?”  Well  it  all  started  when  we  started  choosing  cars  over  walking,  and  opening  factories,  and  using  ​huge  ​amounts  of  plastic.  Let's  look  at  the  most basic  things that cause global  warming. First  plastic.  ​This  is  the  most  common one you all can think about.  We have been using too much plastic. You see, after you dispose  the plastic, it goes to landfills, and it gets blown away into the  sea,  and  it  gets  exposed  to  the  sun  and  reflects  it,  making  greenhouse  gasses,  then  those  greenhouse  gases  make  the  temperature rise.          

  Now  do  you  care  about  earth?  If  so,  you  are  aware  of  global  warming. Global warming is when the greenhouse gases trap too  much  heat  and  make  the  average  temperature  rise.  Like  this  pic shows here         Earth  is  almost  like  mars!  See  how  much  harm  we  have  done?  Now  do  you  care?  What  if  I  told you that it's all our fault. You  might  ask  “how  did  we  do  that?  All  we  have  done  is  drive  cars,  and  run  factories!”  well  those  are  the  producers  of  global  warming.  But you might say,” there are trees to catch carbon  dioxide!”  but  we  have  cut  down  trees  for  roads,  paper,buildings,etc. So there are no trees! So, the carbon dioxide  goes  to  the  atmosphere  causing  temperature  to  rise,  also  causing  climate  change.  But  you  might  ask “what’s  wrong with  a few degrees u​ p? I mean it i​ s v​ ery cold around here, so what's 

the  problem  with  that?”  Well,  the  problem  is,  that  the  water  rises,  and  that  causes  more  floods. And it might cover Australia  in 50 or  less  months.  Same  with  some  other  countries.  Also the number of  homeless  people  will increase! Right now  there  are 10% of homeless  people in the world. No i'm not joking it is 10%, so you better believe  it.  ​But  if  climate  change  melted  ALL  the  ice, there  would  be 2x  how  many  homeless  people  there  are  today!  That's  about  4.1  billion  h​ omeless  people!  All  because  of  climate  change.  So  you might ask ”what can we do about it?” for kids:  *share this book with your friends!  * don't use hot water  *reduce reuse and recycle  *Turn off electronic devices when not in use.    What grown ups can do     * plant more trees    If  you  follow  these  small  steps,  we  can  stop  global  warming.  Start  spreading  awareness  before  it's  too  late,  so  we can have
