HIERARCHIAL FORMSGame pieces with iconic formality displaying a level of hierarchy that are visually well balancedboth individually and as a group.

Internal view of tube. Foam center GROWAn item of furniture that remains useful as the child grows into adulthood considering emotionalattachment and product longevity.

Velcro patches or Zip connection could bestrips connect tubes. used between tubes. The tubes have 3 standard formations for either a : sofa style seat, high roll up purchable chair or an extra bed. Lots of other applica-tions can be created dependent upon the age group and requireduse. For the younger ages the tubular form can be manipulated tocreate a range of climbable shapes or the “Tubed” can be set outon the floor and used as a mat. Multiple matts could be bought andjoined together to form a play/ floor space. For the older ages thetubes can be composed in different seeting forms and as an extra bed.

“Tubed” is adopted by the childfor its playable, manipulablecharacter but is endorcedthroughout growth due to its highmulti functionality. To perform asan aspect of everyday bedroomfurniture requirements.

EVERYDAY OBJECT SKETCHINGManipulating and considering design detail that can affect product perception. A presentation ofquality, speed and relevant skills within sketchwork.

Electric KettleIntegration of a linear handle and spout with the cube form.exploring the relationship between the cube and the diagonal.

PRODUCT DETAILUsing form and detail in a controlled and purposeful manner, taking into consideration visualalignemnt and composition of elements.

SHADOW PLAYTransformation of a single polypropylene sheet into a 3D light form focusing on the quality of lightand shadows cast.

Light dispersion through gaps.Mirror reflecting lightbetween discs. Plastic cutting, folding and manipulation tests

Light disperses, refracts between the angularplanes. Were possible it is expelled out onto thesurrounding surfaces creating dynamic lightlevels and shadows. The plastic sheet ismaipulated as if it were a large crumpled piece of paper.

EVERYDAY RITUALSAn object designed to enhance the value of an everyday ritaul and experiance .The object can enhance the practice of preparing, serving and drinking tea. “100% natural artisan loose tea leaves and herbal infusions hand picked. We use only the youngest and healthiest leaves”. Luxurious hotels seem to accent more on the coffee (espresso) machines than tea, therefore standard tea bags are still used. Design a product that endorses “Leaf ’s” brand and quality tea range and encourages more natural tea making processes with better tasting results. www.leafshop.co.uk

MAJOR PROJECT- FOUNDAs designers, we find inspiration in the things that surround us. We must be sensitive to ourenvironment and be inspired by our observations.

Aqueous Lighting Analysis of Aqueous Lighting The softness and fluiditity of water motions and refraction of light can commonly be connected with lighting forms. Connections can be made with the curvaciousness of the water droplet and the dispursement of liquid upon impact. By nature water finds its own level. When water is droped from height and impacts with a body of water it becomes absorbed and at the same time generates a wave motion in the form of concentric outgoing ripples. As you move out from the point of impact the wave form becomes less intense and gradually flaterns. It is the transition of light refracting within the waters surface that highlights the different ripples intensities. These qualities can be modern inspirations to lighting design.

When the light spins the ripples on the ceilingalso gain a form of motion enhancing the visual effect.
