2021 AMS ALL-STARS The Arlington Middle School All-Stars are exemplary students who are nominated by their eighth grade teachers and selected by their peers. These students are chosen based on their integrity, school leadership, and community involvement. Kayla Arick Kayla Arick is the oldest daughter of Kevin and Shelley Arick, and the older sister of her brother, Kellen Arick. In the three years Kayla has spent at Arlington Middle, she has been involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Perennial Math, Beta Club, the National Junior Honor Society, and participated in the Duke TIP program. Outside of school, Kayla is a part of the Arlington Track & Cross Country team and is active in her youth group at Oliver Creek Church of Christ. In her free time, she enjoys taking part in outdoor activities, shopping, eating, and spending time with friends and family. Reagan Bruce Reagan is the daughter of Bob and Allison Bruce. She has two sisters, Jordan and Haley; one brother, Mason; and a German Shepherd, Bella. She has sung with the AMS Honor Chorus all three years of middle school. She also auditioned for the WTVMEA All Southwest Tennessee Honor Chorus and was accepted both years. Reagan participates in the Beta Club, National Junior Honor Society, and she won first place in the 2018-2019 AMS Spelling Bee. 94

NOah Certion Noah Certion is the son of Patrick and Constance Certion, and brother to Farrah. At AMS, he has served in multiple capacities with Student Council as a homeroom representative, treasurer, and currently President. In addition, Noah is a member of the Beta Club, Best Buddies, AMS Ambassadors, and Blue Crew. He was selected to be a member of the All-West TN Band. Outside of school, Noah enjoys freelance video editing. He is a forecaster for the Weather Geeks of Memphis, and he is hoping to start a small broadcast company in the near future. He enjoys playing the Alto Saxophone in the AMS Symphonic Band and volunteering in his community. Branoon Clark Brandon is the son of Allison and Keith Clark. During his years at Arlington Middle, Brandon has been a member of AMS Soccer Team, Best Buddies, Tiger Ambassador, Beta Club, National Junior Honor Society, and AMS Orchestra. Brandon participated in the Duke Tip Program and attended the National Youth Leaders Program in D.C. Outside of school, Brandon enjoys playing soccer for Memphis FC, spending time with friends and family, and attending Covenant United Methodist Church. Aiden Dodd Aiden0s parents are Karen and Eric Dodd, and he has two brothers, Colby and Grant. While at AMS, Aiden participated in the Duke Tip Program, and he was a member of the Beta Club, National Junior Honor Society, and the Perennial Math Club. Aiden0s hobbies include artistic creation, including making jewelry, painting, and playing the cello. Connor Erwin Connor Erwin is the son of Kevin and Jennifer Erwin. During his three years at Arlington Middle, Connor has been helpful and dependable both inside and outside of the classroom. Connor enjoys spending time playing competitive baseball for the Wow Factor organization. He attends Bartlett Baptist Church where he is active in their Switch student ministry. In his free time, Connor enjoys riding his bike, playing baseball, spending time with his family and friends, and playing with his dogs, Copper and Lucky. 95

Briley Forehand Briley Forehand is the daughter of Miranda Bruch and Brian Forehand, and the step daughter to Al Bruch. Briley has three older siblings, Bryce Dodson, Brayden Forehand, and Brennan Forehand. Briley is a three year varsity player for basketball. Briley set a record for the most points in a single game by scoring 35 points versus Fayette West in 2020. She was awarded the Tiger Award in 2021 by the Lady Tigers for her scholarship, leadership, and talent. Briley plays for the Memphis Mambas AAU basketball club in the off season. Briley enjoys spending time with her family and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs when she is not playing basketball. Chloe Hall Chloe is the daughter of Shawn and Lisa Hall, and sister to Chelsea, Conner, and Caylee. Chloe is a member of the AMS Beta Club, National Junior Honor Society, and Student Council. In addition, Chloe participates in the AMS Perennial Math team, and she qualified to partake in Perennial Math Nationals, as well as the Duke Talent Identification Program. In her free time, Chloe enjoys listening to music, spending time with her dog, and being outside with her siblings and neighbors. Chloe also loves to devote most of her time to be with her family, either by watching movies or just talking with them. Chloe has savored all three years she has spent at AMS, and is excited for the journey she will soon take at AHS next school year. Brandon Hendrix Brandon Hendrix is the son of Joseph Hendrix and Aurora Wright. Brandon is the middle child of 6. Elora, Paige, Amelia, Grace, and Liam are his siblings. During his three years in AMS, he was part of the Junior Beta Club, Symphonic Band, and earned 5th Chair Blue Band in All-West. In addition, Brandon is also part of Arlington0s BSA Troop 452 and is currently Assistant Senior Patrol Leader. With his Troop, he has helped the community along with many friends. In his free time, Brandon likes to play the piano and his French horn. He also loves to cook, play chess, explore, cycle, and hang out with his friends when he can. Brandon0s future plans include applying for the Air Force Academy and becoming a pilot in the United States military. Nathan HOrne Nathan is the son of Kim and John Horne. While at AMS, Nathan has been a member of the AMS Orchestra and the AMS boys soccer team! Outside of school, Nathan loves hanging out with his family, enjoys playing soccer, and playing with friends on his pc. In addition, Nathan serves on his church tech team. He is proud to represent Arlington Middle as an All-Star! 96

Jonathan Ibarra 97 Peniel is the son of Jose Ibarra and Natasha Ibarra. While at Arlington Middle, Peniel has been a member of the AMS Tiger band and the Perennial Math Club. In addition, Peniel served in the Showcase of Student Technology in which AMS became a certified Apple School. Outside of school, he enjoys playing baseball and soccer. Nicholas Isgett Nicholas is the son of Lindsey and Jeff Isgett, and has two sisters, Laurie and Kyndall. He is a member of the National Junior Honor Society and Beta Club. In addition, Nicholas runs track and cross country for Arlington and plays the Bass Clarinet for the AMS Band. Outside of school, he serves as the president of his church youth group. Some of his hobbies include reading, playing the piano, going outside and shooting hoops, and hunting. Malcolm Jackson Malcolm Jackson IV, is the son of Malcom and Rita Jackson, and has a younger brother Ben, who is also a student AMS. While at Arlington Middle, he has been a member Beta Club, National Junior Honor Society, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Malcolm plays trombone in the Symphonic Band. Outside of school, he is a member Arlington Lacrosse, and the Shelby County 4-H Club where he has earned several awards and honors, and served as Vice President and Secretary of his local club. He attends The Life Church of Memphis and serves in youth ministry. In his free time, Malcolm enjoys watching and playing sports, reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family Ariana Lamica Ariana Lamica is the daughter of Roy and Heather Lamica and sister to Elena and Savanna. Ariana has been very involved in school activities all three years at Arlington Middle School. She has also earned recognition in the Junior Beta Club and the National Junior Honor Society. Being part of the AMS volleyball team has been one of her favorite parts of middle school along with playing club volleyball at Viper in Collierville. Throughout her time at AMS, Ariana participated in Student Council, Tiger Ambassadors, and Best Buddies. She loves being involved in many school activities along with participating in events to support the community. In Ariana0s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

Brittanie Layton Brittanie is the daughter of Melanie and Jason Layton, and has an older brother, Brayden, who attends AHS. Brittanie is a three-year member of the Arlington Middle School orchestra. In addition, she plays softball for the AMS Lady Tigers. Brittanie thanks her coaches for teaching her about leadership skills and setting goals. Outside of school, Brittanie0s hobbies include fishing, music, and sports. Lacy Lockhart Lacy is the oldest daughter of Jennifer and Lee Lockhart. She has a younger sister named Lexi, who attends AES, and a dog named Lola. Lacy is a member of the National Junior Honor Society, the Beta Club and was selected for Honor Chorus. She loves volleyball, and has played for the Lady Tigers volleyball team throughout middle school. Outside of school, Lacy plays club volleyball and is active in her youth group at The Refuge Church, where she also serves on the Communion team. Lacy enjoys swimming, traveling, and spending time with family and friends and hopes to one day become a veterinarian. Andrew May Andrew is the son of John and Beth May. He has an older brother named Seth and a younger brother named Ben. During his years at AMS, Andrew has been involved in CLICK. His favorite subjects are social studies, language arts, and art. He is active in his church, Arlington Church of Christ. Andrew is characterized by his big emotions and loving heart. In his spare time, he likes to research 800s entertainment and hang out with his brothers. In the future, Andrew would like to be CEO of his own business and design video games. Aubrey McKee Aubrey is the oldest daughter of Jeff and Amanda McKee. She has two sisters Olivia, who is at AMS, and Kendall who is at AES. During her years at Arlington Middle, Aubrey has been a member of Beta Club, Best Buddies, and was a part of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Aubrey has been on the Lady Tigers Volleyball team all three years and earned Most Improved Player and Most Valuable Player. She has also enjoyed playing club volleyball for Memphis Juniors the past two years. Aubrey is an active member at Bellevue Baptist Church. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, playing volleyball, and traveling. 98

Hayley Patrick 99 Hayley Patrick is the daughter of Jody and Trisha Patrick and is the sister of Jax Patrick. While at Arlington Middle School, Hayley has been involved with the AMS Soccer Team, AMS Basketball Team, Best Buddies, F.C.A, and Beta Club. She also plays competitive soccer and basketball. In her free time she likes to spend time with friends and family, play guitar, and of course, play sports. Kallen Perkins Kallen is the daughter of Jeff and Jodie Perkins. She has a sister, Kinley, and a brother, Graham. During her time at AMS, Kallen has been a three year member of the Arlington Middle volleyball team and has played violin in the AMS orchestra. She has participated in several clubs including Beta Club, NJHS, Best Buddies, FCA, and qualified for state recognition in the Duke University TIP. Outside of school, Kallen plays competitive volleyball for MJVA and is an active member of New Hope Christian Church youth group. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and baking. She plans to pursue a career in the pediatric medical field in the future. Vadrienne Perry Vadrienne is the daughter of Vincent and Jennifer Perry, and she has two sisters. While at Arlington Middle, she has been a member of the Tiger competitive cheer team for all three years. In addition, Vadrienne cheers competitively for Memphis Cheer. Outside of school, her interests are cheer and traveling with her family. William Pittard William is the son of Ben and Anna Pittard. He has a younger brother, Henry, and beloved dog, Darcy. While at Arlington Middle School, William has served as a Tiger Ambassador and a member of Happy Hands. In addition, William is a member of the Beta Club, National Junior Honor Society, and the AMS Band. Outside of school, his hobbies include magic, video games, and playing the drums in his band.

Gabrielle Profit Gabby is the daughter of Horace and Kirstie Profit, and has two brothers, Thomas and Sean. While at AMS, Gabby has been a member of the AMS Band where she plays the flute and was selected for the All-West Band. In addition, Gabby has served on the AMS student council as Historian in 7th grade, and Vice-President in 8th grade, and was chosen as Student of the Month by the Arlington Chamber of Commerce. She volunteers playing music at Shepherd0s Haven, King0s Daughters and Sons, and Bellevue Baptist Church. Gabby0s hobbies include babysitting, cooking, being with friends, and of course music. MOmin Riaz Momin is the son of Shazia Kashif and Kashif Riaz. He has one brother, Ayaan, who is a Junior at AHS. At Arlington Middle, Momin is a proud member of the AMS band as a percussionist, and has also been a part of the National Junior Honor Society and Beta Club. Outside of school, Momin has played in the local youth Lacrosse club for three years. Momin enjoys going on road trips and traveling with his family. He spends his free time biking, playing video games, and playing lacrosse. Alexis Richmond Alexis is the daughter of Alex and Lomay Richmond, and has two sisters, Chelsea and Brooklyn. Alexis has been a member of the AMS Volleyball team for three years and is looking forward to playing volleyball in high school. Her future plans are to attend Christian Brothers University or The University of Memphis and become a personal trainer. Alexis supports her community by fundraising for various organizations and volunteering at her church. where she is an active member. Some of her hobbies include playing volleyball, working out, writing fun stories, and hanging out with friends. She is proud to be an AMS Tiger, and to represent AMS as an All-Star! Landon Rogers Landon is the son of Doug and Kelly Rogers, and has an older brother, Devon. Landon has played Tiger basketball at AMS all three years, and earned the Tiger Award in 7th grade. In addition to basketball, Landon plays baseball and is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is a member of Calvary Church youth group, and serves his community in the Salvation Army Angel Tree Project and raking leaves. Outside of school, Landon enjoys spending time with family, listening to music, and playing the sports. 100

Madison Rutherford Madison is the daughter of Kip and Carrie Rutherford. She has two sisters, Marti and Morgan. Madison has attended Arlington Middle for all 3 years. During her time at Arlington Middle, Madison has been a member of Beta Club, National Junior Honor Society, and Builders Club. Along with that, she was a 3-year member of the AMS soccer team and a 2-year member of the basketball team. Outside of school Madison plays competitive soccer for the Germantown Legends and competitive basketball for the Memphis Mambas AAU team. In her free time she enjoys watching and playing sports, hanging out with friends, being involved at church, traveling, and spending time with family. Macie Smith Macie Smith is the daughter of Kevin and Melissa Smith. She has one older sister, Megan, who will graduate from AHS this year. Throughout her three years at AMS, Macie has been member of honor chorus, and also earned the distinction of being a part of the All-Southwest Honor Choir in 7th and 8th grade. Macie has been involved with Best Buddies, the AMS Tiger Bookstore Blue Crew, and has enjoyed participating in the STEM program. Outside of school, some of her favorite activities include working with the toddlers in her church nursery, singing, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her friends, family and dog, Sadie. Summer Smith Summer Smith is the daughter of Jimmy and Terri Smith. She is a member of the Beta Club and National Junior. Honor Society. She served as Vice President of the Tiger Ambassadors and Student Council Board Member. She has played the clarinet in the Arlington Middle School Band for three years, is a member of the Symphonic Band, and proudly made All West. Outside of school, she has taken piano lessons since age 4. She enjoys playing softball, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Casey Stoope Casey is the son of Amy and Kevin Stoope, and he has an older brother, Jake. While at AMS, Casey has been a member of the National Junior Honor Society, as well as a member of the AMS Tiger basketball team. Outside of academics and sports, Casey volunteers at his church and various community outreach programs. In his free time, Casey loves to play basketball, hang out with his friends, and attend church. 101

Dutch Summers Dutch is the son of James and Melissa Summers, and has an older brother, Luke, and a sister Ava. While at AMS, Dutch has been a member of the STEM Club. Outside of school, he enjoys playing with his two dogs, Sunny and Bell, play online video games, and ride his bike. McKenzie Walker McKenzie Walker is the daughter of Jason and Tawny Walker. She has a younger brother Clayton Walker. During her years at AMS, McKenzie has been a member of the AMS Volleyball team, the Arlington Middle softball team, AMS Honors Chorus, Beta Club, National Juniors Honor Society, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. McKenzie enjoys playing softball and volleyball, hunting, fishing, music, and spending time with family and friends. Ryan Wallgen Ryan has been a resident of Arlington her entire life, and her parents are Jason and Rachael Wallgren. Her older brother, Jake, is a freshman at Arlington High School. Ryan currently serves as a board member on the Arlington Middle School Student Council, and has played volleyball at AMS for three consecutive years. She also plays club volleyball for Viper. Ryan is on the Student and Leadership Team at her church,The Refuge. Although she has many interests, her main two are volleyball and restoring a Ural Sidecar Motorcycle with her father, which they started in June of 2020. Hailey West Hailey is the daughter of William and Nicole West. While at Arlington Middle School, Hailey has served as a member of the Builders Club, Beta Club, Student Council Historian, and was inducted in to the National Junior Honor Society. In addition, she volunteers at her Hope Church, through the H2K program where she serves as a mentor in the children0s ministry. Outside of academics, her interests include digital art, writing, and recording her own music. Hailey0s future plans are to pursue a career in journalism while working in the music industry. 102

Peyton Willoughby Peyton is the son of Chris and Jennifer Willoughby,and brother to Taylor Kate who attends AHS. During his time at AMS, Peyton has been member of the National Junior Honor Society, Beta Club, as well as a three-year player for the Tigers basketball team. In addition, he has been a part of the AYS and AM football teams. Outside of school, he loves his four dogs, playing sports, and spending time with his family. Peniel Woldelibanos Peniel is the son of Hannah Ashagrie and Sertsu Woldelibanos, who are originally from Ethiopia. Peniel is an active member of Bellevue Baptist Church where he serves in the youth department. When Peniel is not volunteering at church, his interests include music, football, basketball, and video games. EMMA Ypulong Emma is the youngest of four children, two older brothers, Anthony and Alex, and an older sister, Jessica, and is the daughter of Cristy Ypulong. She has attended AMS for all three years and is a member of the Beta Club and the National Junior Honor Society. Outside of school, Emma plays soccer for ASA, and enjoys spending time with her friends and walking and playing with her dog, Oakley. CONGRATULATIoNS AMS TIGER ALL-STARS! 103
