What Will You Wish? If you’re like most people, your wish will be to remain in your own home living life to the fullest until the very end. Providing Peace & Comfort... Hospice Alliance opened its Hospice House, providing a comfortable alternative for patients and families when at-home care was not possible. Here, patients and families enjoy beautifully furnished private rooms and are cared for 24/7 by a team of professional caregivers. Adding Life to Days... Recently Complementary Therapies such as Music Therapy, Aromatherapy, Massage Benevolent Touch and Pet Therapy, have become part of the collection of treatments that patients can receive. Aiding in symptom management, along with emotional and spiritual well-being, these therapies are an extension of healthcare that treat the whole person, not just the symptoms of the disease. Why Your Support is Needed Medicare, Medicaid and private insurers reimburse for many hospice services. However, room and board at our residential facility and programs such as our Complementary Therapies and Bereavement Services go uncovered. As such, these services are not profitable nor are they a break even venture. However, they are an integral part of our mission and your support underwrites these important services. Thank You! A special thanks to you, our supporters, friends, staff and volunteers for supporting Hospice Alliance’s “An Evening of Wishes.” 16

About An Evening of Wishes Founded in 2013, Hospice Alliance’s “An Evening of Wishes” is an annual fundraising event hosted to ensure that more people receive the best hospice care. Hospice Alliance is able to provide financial assistance to our patients thanks to this event, as well as individual donations from families and friends of the thousands of patients we have served in our 40 year history. Our goal is to help our patients live each day with dignity, comfort and hope - empowering those who support them. Past winner of the Hospice Honors, Hospice Honors elite awards, and Best of Kenosha County, Hospice Alliance is committed to giving the best physical, emotional and spiritual care in Southeast Wisconsin. These awards were a result of surveys of our caregivers - husbands, wives, moms and dads, sons and daughters, who took on the challenging role of caregiver, during their loved ones’ end-of-life journeys. Hospice Alliance serves people wherever they call home: private homes, homes of family members, nursing homes, assisted living communities and our Hospice House, the only 24/7 residential care facility of its kind in the area. Our Mission: To care for people facing incurable illnesses and empower those who support them. We strive to provide comfort in order to enhance the quality of life each day. 17
