SLIDESMANIA.COM 1 A Cyberman from Cyberland Hi there! I am Cyberman! I am into IT. I know everything about computers! Modern world is impossible without IT knowledge. I am very busy every day helping people to be media literate all over the world. People are staying at home because of the Covid 19 .So they spend their time online facing with a lot of risks on the Internet. Last week I got a massage from Ukrainian students ;”We have been learning distantly since October.It is very difficult to study online all day. How can we save our homework when the electricity goes away or our laptops are out of order” Using cloud tools were the best solutions for them. It was easy for me to help them. I get new messages 24 hours per day from people all over the world

SLIDESMANIA.COM CHAPTER 2- USE INTERNET SAFELY! According to my new messages, students wonder that “How they can use internet safer?”I’m so glad to hear questions like these. As Cyberman, It makes me happy to know that there aeore young pple wondering how to use internet safer! There are many ways to use internet safely and if we follow these ways we can be a good digital citizen! One of the most important thing is being respectful to other people. Because we use internet with many people that we don’t know. Sometimes, we don’t agree with their ideas. But we have to be kind and avoid from rude comments and sharings. -We mustn’t share our personal information like home address, age, ID on digital platforms! -We shouldn’t talk with strange people from untrustable websites or social media networks! -We should be careful while we’re downloading somethings from websites. We should check their extensions and keep our antivirüs up to date! Now, I have done my duty; following these rules is your duty. If you do, you’re going to take long way for being a good digital citizen. I’ll be waiting for their new questions!

SLIDESMANIA.COM CHAPTER 3-Turn The Crisis Into An Opportunity Our life has now become a social media life. Our young people have learned the rules of social media, but some wonder how we can turn it into an opportunity. The conversation I had with my students was as follows; -We can learn the web 2 tools and we can both improve ourselves and learn more about how we can be protected from virus paths. -We can learn programs that can present better for our homework. - By watching relevant videos, we can join this trend and improve ourselves. -We can make people more conscious by sharing social media rules with our friends. yes guys these and more .. social media has taken over our world. We can make this world improve, not the fake world. See you again on sunny days when we will study outside and play on the street.

SLIDESMANIA.COM CHAPTER 4-Use Social Media Responsibly Mr Cyberman got another mail from teachers in Edirne asking:’ how can they use social media use to support the development of digital citizenship for students.?Mr.Cyberman said: It is our responsibility to empower our students by giving them the fundamental lessons in digital citizenship.’Since students are spending most of their time on Social Media,then we must learn to get benefit from it.Like football, students must enter the world of social media and digital media with a good defense. They must understand the effects of irresponsibly using social and digital media and what affects it may have on their future. As students increasingly spend large amounts of time online especially on Social media.it is critical that they are developing skills enabling them to find, evaluate, and share information responsibly. Erdem ,one of the students from Edirne,wrote an email to Cyberman and said:‘We are following you from Social Media.We are planning to organize a campaign about Social Media Literacy.Can you support us?Your support is very precious for us.We are looking forward to your message…...

CHAPTER 5-Somebody Is Watching You!I am always ready to help your Campaing. Let me Tell the story of DIGI,She is 16 years old ,very happy and lively teenager.She is very active on social media like Facebook,Instagram,She adds every updates about her life on Her Facebook Page.She shares updates about her location,feelings and food.Since the last week something weird are happening.She has been updating her activities on ınstagramShe has been having theeatening calls from a stranger.The caller threatens her to kidnapp her.At the beginning she thought that ıt was a prank but the calls are getting regularShe even have calls from different number and the number of calls are increasingIt is getting worse .She gets calls late at night and the stalker goes on threatening.Gülşen is in dilemma,she called me last week.She told everything and I know that there are many teenages like her.What happened next?Do you wonder the rest? SLIDESMANIA.COMCHAPTER 6-How Campaign Started? Erdem and me wanted to help her .We talked with her immediately . At last she was persuaded to tell everything to policeman. Policeman told her that her decision was right and she couldn’t do anything without uttering the situation.What is more, he wanted his friends to give a seminer to teenagers how to use internet safely. Erdem, Gülşen and Nevşat Emre’s friends got a seminer how to use internet and social media. They also taught everything they learned to their family.Anymore they know what to do. But they have some questions whether there was any other person who exposure to these things such as threatening, getting personal info etc.. They try to surf on page of Cyberman and thought that it would be beneficial to start a campaign to protect every person and to make them digital literate. Erdem sent an e-mail and and our communication started with Cyberman . Thus our campaign started. What will we do?

SLIDESMANIA.COM CHAPTER 7-What Can We do this campaign?Nisa is Erdem’s friend from Isparta.He gave information about this subject to her.Nisa said that they did such a project and that they could dedicate this campaign.She explained this subject to her teacher and friends.They said it was a very nice idea and sent an e-mail to Cybermann about how to protect people and how to educate them as digital citizens,and they want to participate in the campaign.As soon as Cybermann received the mail,she immediately wrote a positive reply.The things to be done in the mail were: -Every school can hold meetings in the region about safe use of Internet and digital citizenship -By distributimg brochures from the school,students can raise awareness of their surroundings by distributing them to the regions where they live. -A survey can be conducted to detect whether there are students who have been violence or threatened on the ınternet at school.As a result,information given about what can be done in the face of such events. SLIDESMANIA.COM CHAPTER 8-Surviving the threats online In the end, everybody knew how to stay safe online, the students found out about netiquette, about the importance of having a strong password, and keeping personal information private. Mr. Cyberman loved their idea and decided to implement it in the campaign. He was so happy about finally teaching kids how to stay safe when an evil robot decided to hack into his computer. Is he going to defeat the evil one or just give up?News of this campaign spread rapidly throughout the world, and Mr. Cyberman received loads of e-mails from students. The one that caught his attention was from the Romanian students. Adelina and her friends decided to organize an Escape Room Game in their school. In order to win the game, they had to face and resolve challenges that you usually have online. One of the basic, but also the most tricky task, was to download a suspicious file from an unknown website that would've shown them how to win the game. Some of the students fell into the trap and the virus tracked their IP, some decided to trust unreliable sites without checking the information, the URL, the author, some were just rude to other people and so on. But others were really careful and used an antivirus that was up to date, they didn't trust everything they saw online, they protected their files and personal data, they were polite and kind and the most important part, they didn't communicate with strangers.

SLIDESMANIA.COM CHAPTER 9-Be careful what you post on the internet! The Internet is part of Cyberman's daily life, whether he's socializing with friends, doing homework, listening to music, or watching his favorite vlogger. However, it is very important to be responsible and careful. What you publish online or what others publish on the Internet about him contributes to his reputation for the rest of his life. We all try to build a positive image. Therefore, before you post, ask yourself: Can this influence your opportunities in the future? Can this hurt anyone? Can I share this with my parents? Remember! You will not be able to permanently delete anything you publish on the Internet. Any comment or photo, with a single click, can be saved by other people on their computers and then posted on other web pages without you being able to control the use and distribution of this information. This means that any of your selfies may appear first in the search list when someone wants to know more about you. It could be a friend you made recently or your future employer before your first job interview.

SLIDESMANIA.COM CHAPTER 10-Is it a joke or Cyberbullying? \"What are you interested in about cyber bullying?\" Mr. Cyberman answers questions from the curious Croatian students. \"We friends often joke online, but sometimes it is hard to tell if he's joking or trying to hurt you.\" How to recognize cyberbullying? \" “If someone spreads lies about you in social media, posts photos with the aim of embarrassing you, sends hurtful messages or threatens you on a chat platform, and you feel hurt and like others are not laughing with you but at you, the joke probably went too far. If the situation continues even after you make it clear that you don’t like it and feel upset, it is cyber bullying. Cyberbullying is bullying with the use of digital technologies. \"Can Cyberbullying be proven?\" Mr Cyberman responds: \"Cyberbullying leaves a digital mark - a record that can prove useful and provide evidence to help stop abuse. Everyone deserves respect - both online and offline. “ If you are worried about your safety or something that has happened to you online, urgently speak to an adult you trust.

SLIDESMANIA.COM CHAPTER 11-Let's see the positive side of the internet Hello everyone, When this project started, both we as teachers and students asked themselves: What will we learn? And I can tell you that I learned a lot. The tools used in this project are used to prepare learning materials. Students learned new things related to online communication, passwords, but also notions related to fake news and copyright. For a few months we were Cyberman in the Cyberland world, but we won't stop here. We will continue to sail safely in Cyberland and send the message to as many Cyberman as possible. It was a pleasure to be part of this project. Cyberland, thank you for being a little Cyberman

CHAPTER 12-Fake Cyberland Cyberman have an email from the student Yacine Boubaker: “Dear cyberman, I love your cyberland there are many technologies in your world but we must be attention form the dangers of internet like fake news. Its makes damages in our life we must verify the link and the author of the news. But you can learned me how to use many web tools for my project and for my lessons. In your cyberland I can communicate with many etwinners in Twinspace, in zoom, in Facebook and in many digital footprint. I’m happy for your help and I waiting for another technologies. Be save. SLIDESMANIA.COM CHAPTER 13- Phishing or not phishing One day Mr Cyberman got a message from Italy “S.O.S for phishing! “”Mark an Italian boy asked for help. He received an email: ”You won a smartphone!”. Mark opened and read the mail. He was very happy. He gave all his data and was waiting for his gift but…… something unexpected came. All his money disappeared for his bank account! He didn’t realize why! Mr Cyberman said: “It’s phishing Do you know what is it?”. Mark was astonished and replied: “No, I don’t!” So Mr Cyberman explained him some basis rules. “Phishing or smishing can also occur through SMS messages on mobile devices or an email that appears to be from a reputable source such as your bank or an online service you use.” Mark asked: “How can I spot a phishing attempt in the future?”. Mr Cyberman provided 5 things to look for: 1. Sent from a public email domain, a large genuine company will never be sent from an email address such as @gmail.com or @outlook.com 2. Misspelt domain name, a misspelt address means it is not genuine 3. Poor grammar or spelling, poor grammar is often a better indicator as scammers will often use translation tools to translate their message into the required language 4. Suspicious attachments or links, emails containing attachments or directing a recipient to click on a link are often hiding a piece of malicious software maybe a malware 5. A sense of urgency, emails that prompt the recipient to take immediate action could be phishing attempts; urgency gives less opportunity to examine the email closely and spot any fake clues. “Now, remember to follow these simple rules in the future!” said Mr Cyberman. Mark said “Thank you! I’ll follow your advice and I’ll tell about it to my family ad friends, too.” Mr Cyberman is ready for another support. What will he be engaged with?

Chapter 14 Internet security Cyberman visits “Džiugas” gymnasium Cyberman visited Telšiai “Džiugas” gymnasium, LIthuania and advised how to store data because we did not know where our data could be stored and later downloaded. Now we’re protected from Internet scams, and now no one would know the data of each person. Keep away and don't click on any of these ads like telling you that you won a phone or other thing. Cyberman will constantly continue to provide help and advice on how to protect yourself from online scams. Therefore, if any help is needed, always contact Cyberman at certain engaging websites or the Internet Police to help you. Cyberman has explained where you will feel safe and your data will not be spread around the Internet world. So keep your data safe and secure. Because it is your privacy and the sharing of your data can eventually end in a disastrous way. SLIDESMANIA.COM

SLIDESMANIA.COM CHAPTER 15- Our photos on the internet Online image theft is everywhere and anyone who uploads their images online is at risk. In fact, our research has shown that around 85% of the 3 billion photos shared online every day are stolen. Dear Cyberman how can I protect my photos on the internet ? From the many suggestions about how to protect images from theft online, one thing remains certain – the only way to guarantee that your images don’t get stolen is by not uploading them at all ! SLIDESMANIA.COM CHAPTER 16-Making new “friends”. The other day I was surfing the Internet, Instagram, to talk to my friends like every day when someone started to text me. I didn’t know him but he was friendly. In his account he had pictures of a boy, he told me he was 16 years old, just like me. We kept talking around two weeks, my friends started to say that this was dangerous but I don’t think so.We want to meet in person next week. What should I do? -You’re lucky that Cyberman is here! I’ll help you with your problem. I was surfing on the Internet, and unfortunatly I discovered that account is fake. If I were you, I would block him and forget all of this. The next time make sure that you know that person and don’t share your personal information, because you didn’t, right? -No, I didn’t, we talked a lot but nothing too personal. SLIDESMANIA.COM CHAPTER 17- Once upon a time Cyberman received an email from a worried girl named Clara. She was going to rent a cabin in the mountains with her friends but the message from the real estate company she got seemed suspicious. There were a lot of grammar and spelling mistakes and the way it was written seemed really unprofessional. Cyberman knew what was going on, as once somebody asked him for help in a similar situation. That’s why he quickly replied: Cyberman: You should not respond in an way to this email or click any links attached to the message because grammar and spelling mistakes are usually a dead giveaway the link might be a tool of an organization stealing money from unsuspecting victims. The other signs showing that someone wants to scam you are: - Threats or a sense of urgency - Suspicious attachments - Unusual request (like personal data) - A bunch of numbers in the sender’s address Clara: Ok I’ll be more careful next time. SLIDESMANIA.COM CHAPTER 18- Hi cyberman ! I don’t know why but I think there is too much dictatorship in my country. Me and my friends have just discovered the coolest app . Can you guess what is it? It’s TikTok.You know I am in a group of dancers and we practise a lot . We use Tik Tok to make videos and then let our friends see how we work. So far so good, but the problem is that many politicians have come to a banning proposal. They motivate their choice but saying that we must avoid hacking,spyware and personally invasive technologies. Are they right? Don’t you think they are overreacting? SLIDESMANIA.COM CHAPTER 19 - Meeting up with people Hello, Cyberman. I recently installed Tinder because I am looking for new friends or perhaps a new boyfriend to hang out with. I swipe right almost all of time since I am a boy and don't get a lot of accepts. What I find is suspicious is that few girls look too perfect to be real which might be the case of catfishing. And also is it really safe to message then meet up? Cyberman: Good question, if you feel doubtful about these \"perfect girls\" then you should try google reverse that picture and see if they stole that image from Google so you can tell if it is catfishing or not. About meeting up thing, don't hang out with catfishing people ever since they can scam or kidnap you. If you are going to hang out with normal people, always inform your parents and friends about where will you go in case if anything happens. Advice: Be aware of catfishing and inform parents about where will you go to.

SLIDESMANIA.COM CHAPTER 20-Is playing Digital games safe? Hi there! Hi, Cyberman! I am Saba from Georgia. I love playing computer games, sometimes I play all day long. My favourite game is PUBG, It gives me opportunity to spend more time with my friends. Also, I meet a lot of new people online and get new friends. What do you think, is this game safe? Cyberman was glad to receive this letter from Georgian student, and answered: Thank Saba, for the question, I know many young people are playing digital games, they spent too much time with the computer,it can cause many physical and mental health problems, besides this, the new friends you met in the web are not your real friends, I advise you, not to spend too much time in virtual world, better set time limit for computer games and have a fun with real friends in real life. Thanks a lot Cyberman, It is great you are ready to help us, we will follow your advice and play football and basketball with our friends.
