TULMAR – A SOLID LINK IN A REGULATED SUPPLY CHAIN Incorporated in 1992, Tulmar Safety Systems is a fully integrated manufacturer of protective products and safety equipment serving the commercial aviation, defence and security markets.   Tulmar products are diverse in nature. They are comprised of components and assemblies for military vehicles, airline training equipment, life rafts and life jackets, inflatable shelters, camouflage covers, protective covers and tactical floatation. Our capabilities include all processes from design engineering to manufacturing and supply chain management. Our accredited project management discipline in supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance allows us to meet and exceed the stringent requirements. Strategically located in Hawkesbury Ontario, our 60,000 square foot facility is designed to allow us to scale work cells for the unique nature of our work. Additionally, we have staff in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver who provide on-site support for a specific technical requirement. Tulmar has a staff of approximately 100 people with 8 in engineering, 16 in administration, 4 in quality assurance and the remaining personnel in manufacturing and repair technicians.  Tulmar has broad expertise in the design, validation and manufacturing of many defence OEM vehicle components including vehicle covers, camouflage nets, seat systems, occupant restraints, self-sealing fuel tanks, interior/exterior stowage and drive train components. In addition to mechanical assembly, we have the ability to kit first aid components, camo systems, tow/recovery tools and even survival rations. Tulmar designs, manufactures and services engineered survival solutions.  We deliver products and services that protect people – on the ground, in the air and in the water.  Our life rafts are installed in the ejection seats of CF-18 fighter aircraft and in aerial delivery systems deployed for Arctic Search and Rescue.  Our protective covers and stowage solutions are found on armored vehicles and military trucks around the world and our lifejackets are used by Special Forces and Naval Boarding Teams. Our repair & overhaul (R&O) facility operates in a 3,800 square foot section of our plant and can handle a wide variety of Tulmar and other OEM products. Operating under Canadian regulations, Tulmar has secured and renewed long-term R&O contracts for Canadian Forces components including conducting 3rd line maintenance, warehousing, upgrading and repairing. Both our ISO 9001:2015 quality management system as well as regulatory accreditations are maintained through frequent internal and external audits. tulmar.com

TULMAR – A SOLID LINK IN A REGULATED SUPPLY CHAIN Tulmar’s facility, location and physical assets make us a unique and leading supplier of survival and protection solutions. The industries we support have exacting standards to improve safety and minimize risk to their customers and user community. To minimize risk for our clients, we adhere to and exceed expectations when it comes to physical security of our building and security clearances for our people. We follow the expectations of the Government of Canada and their allies when it comes to our facilities, our employees and our information technology platform. A copy of Tulmar’s’ Controlled Goods Directorate certification can be provided as required. Disciplined project management is a core capability at Tulmar. Project delays are mitigated, and the integrity of our products are assured through seamless coordination between our engineering team, supply chain team and the manufacturing floor. Supporting these operations is a Continuous Improvement team that ensures product conformance and ongoing efficiency improvements. We are proud of the expertise of the leaders of these teams and the ingenuity and commitment of their work groups. The diversification of Tulmar’s business and the stability of ownership minimize the risk of partnering with Tulmar. Our business is almost equally split between civil aviation and the defence marketplace. Global events and macroeconomic environmental factors are naturally hedged because of the diversification of our client base. To illustrate, the attacks on the Pentagon and World Trade Center’s sent the aviation marketplace into an historic decline; meanwhile the defence market grew. Tulmar was able adapt to this seismic shift and continue to support its client base. With over 150 worldwide clients and no ‘one client’ exceeding 25% of our revenue; our viability and long-term prosperity is assured through diversification. With our people, processes, and infrastructure, Tulmar remains a solid link in a regulated supply chain. tulmar.com
