PRIME QI MANAGEMENT Welcome! Introduction On behalf of all Board Members, we would like to extend a warm welcome and appreciation for volunteering your time to maintaining and enhancing the quality of life of all at Seaside at Fisher Island. It is our experience that virtually everyone who serves on an Association Board does so for good reason, and the motivation always being one to make meaningful contributions to their community. However, new and even experienced Board members often do not know what will be expected of them or exactly how the organization is structured. Thus, we've prepared this guidebook to assist and guide you through some important information with a quick review of current Association matters and happenings. Sprinkled throughout the book are pointers describing “good practices” for nonprofit boards, and references to assist you in this endeavor. We hope that it will assist you in your new role and endeavor as a Board member. PRIME QI MANAGEMENT Role of the Community associations are social entities neighborhoods of Board people who expect the board to preserve, if not improve, their quality of life. Thus being on the Board of Directors comes with great responsibilities, such as personal liability for the actions and decisions made by the board member. No. 01 — President Community association presidents are required to fulfill many roles, but the primary roles are leader and manager. Different situations will determine which role the association president assumes. Sometimes the president must set aside other roles, such as neighbor or friend, to accomplish a task or make a decision No. 02 — Secretary The Association secretary is responsible for preserving the association’s history, maintaining its records, and protecting it from liability. The secretary should be efficient, well organized, and have a commitment to the future of the association. No. 03 —Treasurer To help give your audience an overview, this section can include a brief description of the goal, its relevance to your sector or industry, and the specific sub-targets your organization is addressing.
