Aware that “learning” in the traditional sense could not take Dr Harsha Alles place, the school focused on giving opportunities for students Chairman to display their skill in drama, music, and dance. Through the multiple virtual events our students gained confidence in their Leadership own abilities, upgraded their technical skills and had a lot of fun in the process! Additionally, getting students involved in the PCR project allowed them to focus on ways in which they could be of use to the community; the project was a resounding success and I believe that so many life lessons have been learnt in the process. The importance and benefits of a holistic education have been expounded by educationists over the years and it is something that Gateway College has always had at its heart, thanks to a founder who himself was a man who believed wholeheartedly in the importance of a well-rounded character. The Founder’s Award; which includes the elements of Volunteering, Internship, Skills/ Sports, and Adventure; was launched for the very purpose of supporting students achieve success in multiple spheres. This initiative will ensure the longevity of our Founder’s dream of producing multi-skilled citizens. Gateway College Annual Review 2020 17
