Non-academic Gateway strongly believes that providing students the opportunity to experiment with various co-curricular and extracurricular activities alongside their academic life opens them to opportunities in arts, music, sports, and theatre. Research on the subject has shown that co-curricular activities are complementary to academics and groom students in the “Art of Living and Working Together”. Students taking part in extra curricular activities tend to score higher academic results and build stronger relationships in schools, and are likely to lead healthier and active lifestyles. 60 Gateway College

Extra-curricular activities Performing arts Gateway encourages its students to be more involved in the arts. Students who choose to participate in dance, drama, music, and visual arts tend to experience positive academic and well-being results. The performing arts are given special significance at Gateway as a means for students to gain self-confidence and develop a deeper appreciation of literature. With our belief that high quality, participatory arts education can have the greatest impact, we encourage our children to take to the stage early in their lives as a preventive measure against self-consciousness and shyness in public – an area where Gateway has seen rapid progress in a relatively short time frame.
