EDITOR’S LETTER Hi crafters, You only have to spend a mere two minutes in my company and I will inevitably bore you with countless stories of Roxie, my too-cute- for-words toy poodle. Oh, and not to mention all the pictures I’ll make you coo over. With that in mind, you’ll understand how overjoyed I am to be bringing you a pet crafting special. Since the lockdown pet boom, we’ve all enjoyed spending more quality time with our fluffy friends, in fact, Roxie is cuddled up on my lap as I write these very words. So, it’s no surprise that for us craft lovers, creating for them has become top of our to-make list. According to Pinterest, searches for ‘luxury dog room’ have risen by 115% and ‘catify your home’ has quadrupled! So, without further ado, inside our pet crafts special you’ll find 70+ projects to get tails wagging: a lead (p34), cat toys (p37), beds (p32), cards (p35) and the first part in our three-issue pet blanket-along (p44). Plus so much more. If you’re crafting for those of us on two legs, we’ve got plenty for you too! We grab a cuppa with Bethan from Pretty In Paper By B, AKA iris folding extraordinaire (p26). Once she’s inspired you to give the craft a go, try her easy-to-follow project (p28). Keren Baker combines traditional motifs with modern colours (p57) for a showstopping greeting collection, Sarah Jackman Read pushes the cardmaking boundaries with ever- so-impressive folds (p19) and new designer Vicky Chilcott makes her CB debut with a cross-stitch that you simply have to try (p76).
