Ayan Pant ❖ He was 5 years old when he joined The HDFC School, diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD. ❖ At that time, he communicated through one-word expressions and had a short attention span of 4- 5 seconds. ❖ His IQ was 78 when he was in Kindergarten. In the span of 6 years (2015-2021), he has exhibited tremendous progress in diverse areas.

Abhishek Trehan ➢ He was 10 years old when he joined The HDFC School in the Special Education Department. ➢ Diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, he faced difficulty in balancing his body. ➢ His academic and co-curricular needs were taken care of by the Special Educator which helped his progress splendidly. Currently, our school is following NIOS Grade 10 curriculum with him. Abhishek is a joyous and a charming boy. He is attending classes in mainstream as well as in the learning centre.

Vedanth Raina ❖ He was 9 years 2 months when he joined the Special Education Department of The HDFC school. ❖ He was diagnosed with Aspergers Disorder (Autism spectrum disorder) with learning difficulties at the age of 6 years. ❖ Over the years, our program has improved his social interaction, communication skills, short attention span and behavioural issues like aggressiveness, and stubbornness with remedial instructions and therapies. Major Achievements (2017-2021) Can read the modified text with 70-75% fluency. Started using software like scratch, MS PowerPoint independently. Started socialising and stopped aggressive behaviour. Applies language conventions like grammar, spellings and punctuation at appropriate places with assistance.

Rishit Kashyap ❖ Rishit was 9 years 10 months when he joined The HDFC School in the Special Education Department. ❖ He was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome at the age of 4 years indicative of cognitive ability between borderline to below average range along with minimal features of Autism Spectrum Disorder. We followed a Grade 4 mainstream curriculum in Science and Hindi and customised curriculum in English, SST, and Math with him. The school adopted a multi-sensory and multi-modal approach with differentiated instructions, experiential and project-based learning. At present he studies in Grade 8.

Pratham Bhatnagar ❖ Pratham was 7 years 10 months when he joined The HDFC School in the Special Education Department. ❖ He was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder around the age of 5 years at a Child Development Clinic. ❖ The school followed Grade 1 customised curriculum with him. He was also provided with remedial support and rigorous counselling. The HDFC school created an IEP design by Special Educator in Collaboration with Parents and Teachers. In academics, we adopted known to unknown, simple to complex, task analysis and graphic organizers to teach him. He studies in Grade 7 now.

Swarit Kishore ❖ Swarit was 5 years 6 months when he joined the HDFC School in the Special Education Department. ❖ He was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the age of 2 years 6 months where he could only speak in gestures, and one words. ❖ He had difficulty in socialisation and communication skills but with continuous intervention Swarit is studying in Grade 5 now. He can process information with visual aids and takes interest in activities.

Parth Sharma ❖ Parth was 5 years 9 months when he joined the HDFC School in the Special Education Department. ❖ He was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the age of 2 years 7 months. ❖ At that time, he faced difficulties in communicating, attention span and sensory processing. With our special KG customised curriculum, he has now progressed by leaps and bounds with great academic skills.

Parth is studying in Grade 5 at present. He can now: • Write within the lines with proper spacing • Take initiatives to answer • Focus with increased attention span- 5 to 25 mins • Grasps concepts quickly • Use Microsoft Applications with guidance

Madiha Mehran Shah❖ Madiha Mehran Shah joined the HDFC School in the Special Education Department in 2018. ❖ She was diagnosed with multiple disabilities at the time of her admission. ❖ At present, the school follows mainstream curriculum with her for all the subjects except Hindi.
