Description: Each year, the Cleveland Area Independent School Library Network librarians publish a recommended reading list for grades Preschool through 12. The books recommended are from the past 4 years of published books or recently re-released books. These lists are published on or about May 15th of each year in preparation for summer reading, but are recommended for year-round enjoyment.

ABOUT THESE LISTSRecommended Reading ListCONTENTS The following lists of recently published books were compiled by members of CAISLN, the Cleveland Area Independent School Library Network. Members are certified library media specialists at independent schools in and around Cleveland, Ohio. 2017 The lists are organized by grade level, beginning with preschool and continuing through grade 12, and include both Fiction and Non-fiction titles. Each book received positive reviews in major library publications and was read and critiqued by at least one group member. Milne's Winnie- the-Pooh. Nelson, Kadir. If You Plant a Seed (2015) While planting seeds in their garden, two animals learn the value of kindness. Savage, Stephen. Supertruck (2015) Important trucks of all kinds go about the city fixing things, putting out fires, and helping people, but the humble garbage truck just picks up the trash-- that is, until a snowstorm traps the other trucks and the garbage truck becomes supertruck, putting on a snow plow to save the day.
