T his includes elevated platforms not guarded by handrails, working on derrick members, from ladders, scaffold or staging. Areas beneath the work being conducted are to be barricaded to prevent personnel from entering. All working at height\/ fall protection equipment shall be inspected before and after use. Workbasket \u2022 When working from a certified workbasket, fall protection is to be worn and safety lines attached to the hoist line separate from the basket attachment \u2022 Two persons to be in the basket at all times \u2022 Only hand tools I light equipment to be carried in the workbasket Work Platform Inertia reels shall be suspended permanently from the drilling package substructure to facilitate fall protection while working on the BOP, monkey board and stabbing board. Step and Fixed Ladders \u2022 Personnel are not permitted to stand on either of the upper two steps \u2022 All ladder feet should be equipped with non-skid material \u2022 All fixed ladders shall be kept free of obstructions \u2022 If climber safety devices or climber assist devices are fitted they shall be used Steps and Stairways \u2022 Every flight of stairs or steps having four or more risers will be fitted with at least one handrail \u2022 Personnel will not climb over handrails to access other work areas Tools and Equipment Aloft \u2022 A work permit, TRA\/ JsA and a pre-job safety meeting are required before working at height with tools and equipment \u2022 Tools and equipment to be carried\/ used aloft shall be inspected, recorded in the Tools Aloft Register and secure - Floorman Handbook \u00a9 2019 ADES. All Rights","","","","","","t \ufffd\u2666tAi>cSADVANCED ENERGY SYSTEMS Forbidden Equipment and Practices To prevent incidents caused by similar sources, the following high-risk activities or practices are forbidden in ADES operations: \u2022 Use of uncertified lifting equipment including home made lifting devices \u2022 Use of surface drill pipe screens or filters \u2022 Use of hammers with wooden handles at height (only hammers with steel handles coated with a shock absorber rubber or hammers with high strength fiber glass handles should be used) \u2022 Bolts secured with a double nut arrangement \u2022 Use of welding rods\/ wires\/ tie wraps instead of engineered split pins or safety pins \u2022 Use of hooks on any part of the lifting arrangement on winch lines and on stabbing board (hook on monkey board winch arrangement is allowed as the monkey board winch is provided for equipment positioning and not lifting) \u2022 Slings wrapped around derrick\/ mast beams as a means of primary retention \u2022 Unsecured water bottles, grease tubes\/ guns \u2022 Drifting stands in the derrick without a formally documented Standard Operating Procedure and JSA detailing how the Red Zone will be controlled Split \/ Cotter Pin Split \/ Cotter Ring INote Refer to Crane Lifting Operations section for the correct installation of a shackle split\/ cotter pin\/ ring. Racking Assemblies Racking back of tubular stands less than 3 \u00bd\\\" OD will be subject to risk assessment based on size and length of tubular, racking space availability and racking arrangements in the derrick. ADVANCED ENERGY SYSTEMS 7 CIRCULATING SYSTEM 7.1 Mud Pumps The mud pumps are the main components in the circulating system and must be maintained in a good condition at all times. The Floorman shall perform basic maintenance, which consists of keeping the mud pump clean and painted to prevent rust. During this task the Floorman shall wear the correct PPE and use the correct tools. 1. Dampener 2. 2. Fluid End Assembly 3. Suction Manifold 4. Pinion Shaft Assembly 5. Crank Shaft Assembly If a mud pump breaks down the Floorman shall assist the Assistant Driller and the Derrickman in repairing the mud pump in a timely manner. The Floorman's assistance may comprise: \u2022 Preparing the tools for the job \u2022 Breaking out the suction and discharge valve covers \u2022 Cleaning out the suction screens \u2022 Keeping the tools clean and available for the Assistant Driller and Derrickman The majority of rigs are equipped with at least two mud pumps. The rig team shall be able to isolate and direct fluid flow to the desired route and direction. Working on a mud pump can be hazardous and therefore repairs or maintenance requires the use of: \u2022 Permit to work \u2022 Lock-out \/ Tag-out {LOTO) \u2022 TRA \/ JSA and SOP \u2022 Safety meeting attended and signed by all work participants Declaration U7.E1 .1, U7.E1 .2, U7.E1.3 and U7.E1 .4 Date training received: \u00a9 2019 ADES.
