James Rodríguez Colombian National Team/Real Madrid Football NFT Rarity

While NFTs started off as a niche product for mostly obscure artists and cryptocurrency enthusiasts, they’ve grown into a phenomenon in the world of sports, from baseball and soccer to Formula One racing. Chiliz News reports that Colombian soccer superstar James Rodríguez is launching his own line of NFTs through a partnership with ZKSpace.

The initial Whitelist Presale for the official James Rodríguez Commemorative Edition NFTs, Zurda Collection, begins on June 15th.  Chiliz News explains that Zurda is Spanish for \"Left foot,\" and the new collection is believed to contain up to 1,500 unique pieces of digital art.

James Rodríguez has had an exciting career spanning three continents, and this NFT collection is the only official source for digital artworks that highlight his career.  Rodríguez will include highlights from his time playing for Real Madrid, as well as the Colombian National Team in the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and the 2016 American Cup.

Where the Zurda collection differs from many other sports memorabilia collections, including the digital ones, is that each piece of art is hand- painted by professional artists. The collection will include artwork in four different rarity tiers, ranging from the bronze tier which will include 1,089 pieces, to the platinum tier, which contains a single collectible.

The collection will also include some non-NFT-related benefits, such as video calls with James Rodríguez himself, and a pre- recorded video for one randomly selected user. While NFT collections from major sports leagues are starting to become a little more commonplace, this collection from James Rodríguez still stands out from the crowd.
