The Monroe Accelerator is a support network of like-minded entrepreneurs seeking to enhance business development processes to compete favorably in the government market space and provides an interactive master class for certified firms. The Monroe Accelerator course is robust and covers many topics concerning City, State, and Federal procurements, how to win more bids, the best systems, and practices for small firms to compete with the big ones.

As with many problems, the solution starts with education, and The Monroe Accelerator offers that. By educating certified firms on all they and society have to gain, Desmonde and his team are working to change the status quo and increase community and economic self-sufficiency. To succeed, it’s not enough to work hard. You also have to follow the right processes and work smart. Otherwise all your hard work will be wasted. This can be especially difficult, because government contracts can be an entirely different beast.

This course was made specifically with certified firms in mind because minorities, women, and veterans make up 60% of many large city populations, but certified firms currently get about 1-3% of government contract spend. Each and every one of us has to play a part. It is up to us to show them that we will maximize the opportunities we do get, keep pushing for economic equity in government spending, and support each other through the complex world of government contracts.
