Why LED? A Guide to The Next Generation of LightingLight-emitting diodes (LED's) are solid-state devices that convert electric energy directly into light ofa single color. Because they employ “cold” light generation technology most of the energy isdelivered in the visible spectrum.LED’s don't waste energy in the form of non-light producing heat.
