MESSAGE FROM CHAIRMAN OF REGION 4 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. (Hebrews 12 :1) I use this medium to greet the 31st annual convention of Region 4 as we focus on the theme “Rebuilding Our Relationships Through Repentance, Reconciliation and Renewal”. It is important for us as individuals and as a group to pause periodically to self-reflect and make adjustments as are necessary. I want to give honour and thanks to God for the privilege he has afforded us to be having this convention, for His keeping care and His guidance even during this period of pandemic. I wish to thank my family for their understanding and the support they have given me over the years, I also wholeheartedly thank the vice chairmen and the other members of the regional executive body for their support and the enthusiasm with which they executed their tasks. Thanks to our vice chairmen specifically for the way they managed their units with the morning devotions and other activities. Thanks also to Evangelist Yvonne Wolfe and Deaconess Carol Mason Rowe for their commitment in organizing and executing our monthly fasting and the children’s Transformed Young Lives worship service on Saturdays. Thanks to Rev. Alphanso DaCosta our former zone supervisor who served us as we welcome back Rev. Dexter Johnson. You are all highly appreciated. I want to commend our pastors and church leaders for the way they have been managing throughout this pandemic to ensure the safety and welfare of their congregants and community members. Through various initiatives, hundreds of thousands of dollars have been spent to assist families with food items, back to school packages, learning devices, financial assistance as well as the spiritual, emotional, and psychological support you have been giving. God’s blessings be upon you all. I wish to thank the members of the region for their support and generosity in looking out for and supporting each other in these challenging times, I especially thank you for your outpouring of love and support for our neighbours in crisis – St. Vincent and the Grenadines. AS we look forward to another year together, I pray we will find creative ways of continuing the work of the Lord, winning souls and caring for ourselves and others. I pray God’s continued sustaining grace upon everyone as we continue to make ourselves available to the service of the Lord. God bless you all Linval Levy Regional Chairman 3

ZONE 3 REGIONAL REPORT Greetings from Rev. Dexter Johnson, 3rd Vice-Chairman and Region 4 Zone Supervisor. On this the 31st Regional Convention, I greet you in the powerful and wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I extend special greetings to the Regional Chairman and Regional Executive. I express greetings to all Pastors and their spouses in Region 4. To all the members of the Diaconate Leadership Team, brothers and sisters, our young people, boys and girls, greetings. It is for sure that for 2021, we unite our voices and our spirit in testifying that had it not been for the Lord on our side where would we be. We thank God that He is, “Our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble”. So God has kept us through this Covid-19 Pandemic year. And He is the same God who will keep us in Covid year 2, as our Lord is faithful. He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one. For sure your anthem as a region must be tied up in the song, Goodness of God - ‘All my life you have been faithful…..’ As you continue to serve and make the region one of the greatest regions in the Church of God in Jamaica, I am happy to be on the Board with you and I believe God that as we partner and work together we will accomplish great exploits for our Lord Jesus. It is my prayer and my vision that every congregation will experience pastoral care and coverage. I am praying for greater revival. I am praying for overflow. I am praying for one pastor for each congregation. I am praying that love and unity will be evidenced among us for it is said that united we stand divided we fall. So let there be even more love, more unity, more fellowship and more prayer. I close with Romans 8:38-39 (KJV), 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. The Journey Continues as we work together for the betterment of Region 4 as together at every level we serve God’s people, we are workers together in God’s kingdom. 4

May Pen Church of God We continue to pray for Rev. Lewis as he recuperates from his recent surgery. We ask for special prayers for his wife on the passing of her mom. Let us pray for the immediate family and the May Pen Church of God family that God will be strengthen and keep his people. Juno Crecsent Church of God Juno Crescent Church of God expresses thanks for the support in the Appreciation Service for the Bertram Family held on Sunday, August 8, 2021, at 10:00 am. There was very good support and outpouring of love for the Bertram family who leaves for the USA on August 24th. We pray God’s protection on their lives and ministry. Against that Background, let us be in prayer for the next pastor who will take up the baton. Old Harbour Church of God We are grateful to the Pastor, Deacon Roper and his wife, for the service they give to the congregation. We are thankful for their assistance with Bible Study up to this present time until the time of their migration or until the next pastor is in place. We are praying for the building issue to be settled in short order. We join in prayer for the next pastor to take up the baton and lead God’s people. We express thanks to Deacon Sweeney and the team for leading the charge in overseeing the work of the Old Harbour COG. We stand in prayer with them. Simon Content Church of God Simon Content Church of God is urgently in need of Pastoral coverage. A meeting has been planned with the church leadership team, the Region Chair along with the Zone Supervisor to look to God for a man or woman who will stand in the gap and take up the charge to carry on the work. We look forward to meeting with the church and region in the month of August. All other congregations are experiencing pastoral coverage at this time. We thank God for Evangelist Wolf for working along with the region at Iron Gate Church of God. The JPS power is now connected. Let us give full support as the strong must help the weaker ones. 5

James Hill Church of God We thank God for his guidance over this congregation by Rev. Elaine McKenzie and the support given by Pastor Simone Cross and the leadership team. We are excited about the prospect as the land in Cave Valley is now fully paid for. The next step is to build a new chapel. The rest of the land is to be used for a great business opportunity. The land is situated in the center of the town and should be used to serve the community and become an income earner for the church and region. Let us be praying for God’s guidance. Let us be in prayer for Pastor McKenzie and the leadership team. We ask that the region do everything to support the vision for the way forward. Condolences and Congratulations Condolences to every Pastor and by large every member of the Region 4 team. Especially those who have suffered the loss of a loved one throughout the last regional year. I pray for comfort and strength from the almighty God to continue to be with you and your family as you carry on to the great resurrection day. Congratulations: - Congratulations for all your great achievement throughout the last regional year. I pray for every blessing for 2021 and beyond. Conclusion Thanks to the Regional Chairs, all pastors and spouses, all deacons and their families brothers and sisters. Thanks for your faithfulness to God’s vineyard. It is a joy to serve with you for such a time as this. I am looking forward to the great revival and growth that the Region will enjoy. The peace and protection of the Lord be with you all. SECRETARY’S REPORT This year has been a challenging one with the pandemic. Meetings were decreased significantly because of the covid restrictions, however, different methods were found to stay connected as the business of God must go on. The Chairman began having meetings via the zoom platform and using WhatsApp. There was no regional convention in 2020 because of the situation with the pandemic. As such, the executive body that was in place continued to serve in their various roles. Many of the activities that would have been held in the region were postponed as well. The region was still able to have the Ash Wednesday prayer and fasting which was held at a church in each unit. However, the family outing that would normally take place in May as well as the regional prayer breakfast had to be cancelled for this year. Some individual churches had their rallies and harvests and the various auxiliaries with the exception of the men whose time would have clashed with the National Assembly that was held in October instead of April. These conventions were held in the following locations: Women May Pen COG & on zoom Children May Pen COG & on zoom Youths May COG & on zoom Church Coverage Simon Content COG – this congregation is in need of a pastor. In the interim persons have been rostered to go to the church on designated Sundays. Juno Crescent COG – Rev Windell Bertram and family will be migrating and so the Juno Crescent congregation will be in need of pastoral coverage. Congratulations & Commendations The region would like to congratulate Rev. Dexer Johnson who has returned as the Zone Supervisor for region 4 after taking on the mandate to be the 3rd Vice Chairman of the National COG in Jamaica. We also congratulate sister Casmin Chambers for being appointed Principal at Treadlight Primary School. Commendations were made to sis Carol Mason-Rowe and Evangelist Wolfe for their steadfast commitment in organizing the prayer and fasting sessions on WhatsApp every 1st Wednesday. Additional sis Carol was commended for her faithfulness in organizing the devotionals for the children on Saturdays. I want to take this opportunity to say a great big thank you to all the persons in the region who have given their support and dedication at various levels and in various capacities so that the region was able to still move forward in spite of the challenges that surrounded us. Denise Jackson-Levy Secretary 9

Development of a Cluster System The Region 4 youth executive implemented a cluster system within the region during the year 2019-2020. The aim of this is to build a stronger support system among the regional youths and to develop a partnership system to assist with growth and development. Therefore, the region currently has four clusters, each cluster containing four to five churches depending on locality. The clusters are scheduled to host a “Cluster Friday” every quarter at a different church within the cluster. The clusters are scheduled to engage in activities that are centered around spiritual and holistic development at each meeting. The main cluster activities include Bible Studies, Fasting and Topical Awareness Sessions. With the aim of encouraging cluster participation based on attendance at cluster meetings and monetary participation a cluster will be named Cluster of the Quarter and Cluster of the year. During the year 2020 and the fact that physical meetings were not possible for the most part we were unable to materialize our cluster meetings as planned. Nevertheless, the current executive will continue to work on this as it is a good way to strengthen our fellowships. Regional Youth Convention Regional Convention 2020: this took place at the May Pen Church of God on Friday July 10th and Saturday July 11th . On the Friday Night we hosted an evening of worship, while on the Saturday we were engaged in a panel discussion on relationship goals where panelists encouraged the youths on how to win in their relationships. Regional Convention 2021: was held on the 10th and 11th of July. The theme of the convention was “A call to become a 1st Corinthians 13 Lover.” We commenced the convention with a very informative online panel discussion on the topic. We dissected First Corinthians 13 and our panelist charged us as youths to Love God first then love others the Godly way. This was followed by an online concert where talents from different churches were showcased. We concluded our convention at the May Pen Church of God with our divine service, the speaker was Rev. Linval Francis who delivered to us a word straight from God’s heart to ours as we were charged to Love as the Father loves us. A new executive was selected as projected above: some members renewed their tenure while others are newly appointed. National Events Only one National event was held during the reporting period as others were not executed due to the pandemic. 13

Our region attended Sports Day in January 2020 at Kirk Vine Sports Complex and we emerged second. Financial Update The region currently has insufficient funds as there have been no regional activities to generate funds throughout the year 2020. However, it is the aim of the region to raise funds through different fund-raising activities in the present year. Challenges 1. Our region is being affected by rural/ urban migration due to the fact that some youths are currently enrolled in universities. 2. Most churches in the region mainly have children that fall below the youth fellowship age groups 3. There are currently five churches within the region with a strong youth departments. 4. Youths seem to be uninspired and only a few are willing to dedicate themselves to serve. Hence, there are positions that are not filled on our executive board. 5. The lack of internet connections during the pandemic Commendations We express gratitude to our Regional Chairman, Deacon Levy who has been a great help to us and who is always willing to share and assist in whatever ways he can. To the executive members who have been working assiduously over the years and to the newly appointed, “welcome on board!”. Additionally, we thank those pastors and congregations that have been a great help financially and otherwise. Conclusion In spite of the challenges Region 4 Youths are committed to working together in order to strengthen each other and to reach the youths in our communities. We desire to grow spiritually and to become youths who positively impact our society. Throughout the pandemic we hosted regional youth fellowship online and for the most part same was well attended. We also realized that the lack of proper internet connections in some areas have impacted attendances and participation. The chairman along with her executive intend by the help of God to keep Region Four (4) youth’s alive and we ask the wider region to continue to help us and be our cheerleaders. God Bless You All! Submitted by: Deaconess Crystal Mckenzie Youth Chairman 14

Evangelism In spite of the situation our God has remained faithful. There has been much setback regarding evangelism owing to the pandemic. However, even though we could not have evangelism face to face this was conducted via phone. I am encouraging persons to do one on one evangelism as this seems to be more effective as well as ministering in small groups. I am happy to report that there is electricity at Iron Gate now. I have cleared the remaining bill with the tithes and contributions from harvest. Having the light has not increased attendance. However, if the services are held in the open-air persons will come. We continue to press and labour in the vineyard. The work of God must go on. There are many souls that are dying in sin and it is our mission to win the lost at any cost. Evangelist Yvonne Wolfe (Chairman of Evangelism) Christian Ed Report 2020-2021 The Christian Ed department continued to weather the storm in a very turbulent season. God’s got the whole world in His hands. Last year was a challenging one, however because our God specializes in difficult situations, He led us through. The following activities were carried out during the period: • Day of Prayer held in all churches in the Region • Poetry competition for youth and children • Saturday morning devotions by children in all regions • Series of activities in December: o Pep talk/ encouragement o Views on COVID_19 and it affects them. o Views on favourite bible character or Bible verse stating why and what it means • Virtual Children’s Convention held at the May Pen Church. – May 2021 Special thanks to Sis. Lisa from the May Pen Church for her technical support in merging various audio files for posting. Thanks to all our Sunday School Teachers, Superintendents, our resource persons and all our contact persons from the units who contributed in some way to make it a memorable year. Finance Chairman’s report 2020 – 2021 “True worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshippers.” (John 4:23) Thanks be to God for His worshippers. Thanks be to God for givers of time, talent and treasure. For the past 17 months the region’s worshippers have sacrificed and given generously. As we approach another challenging year let us ask the Father to continue to bless us and give us the desire to be even more generous in our giving. It must be noted that there are still a few churches in the region that have not yet made their 5% contribution to the treasury for 2020 – 2021. This we believe will be rectified soon. Monthly Financial Reports - There are churches that have very good financial systems in place, hence their accounts are always up- to -date and the relevant board or committee are always in sync. However, there are churches that have not been keeping abreast with their accounts and timely reporting. Every effort should therefore be made by the church treasurer and the finance board or committee to engage the leadership and members of the church regarding bank balance and cash in hand. Thanks to the region's treasurer for being so meticulous in his records. It is our hope that the year 2021 - 2022 will be a better year for all as we continue to labour in the Master's vineyard. \"But this I say, he which sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly; and he which sows bountifully shall reap bountifully.\" ( 2Corinthians 9:6) Ransford Wright (Chairman of Finance) Treasurer’s Report INCOME 5% Contribution from 9 churches $ 277, 759. 55 EXPENDITURE Honorarium $29, 000 Iron Gate $20, 000 Refreshments $35, 000 National Church $33, 000 Miscellaneous $13, 120 Total $180, 120.00 Balance in Bank $502, 296. 22 Submitted by Rev R.C. CHURCH REPORTS 2020- 2021 Report from the Whitney Circuit of Churches. Total Membership Whitney COG Clarks Town COG Membership 2020-2021 16 2 Present Number of 40 12 Ma les Present Number of 6 Fem a les Dea th Table 1: Demonstrates the total demography of the Whitney and Clarks Town Circuit of Churches. Greetings and Introduction Glory to the King of kings for his continuous blessings. I humbly greet our Zone Supervisor Rev Dexter Johnson, Regional Chairman Deacon Levy, the Regional Executive, Pastors and Members of the various congregations within our region. It is with esteemed pleasure I present to you a reflection on the Whitney Circuit of Churches for the year 2020-2021. Through we have been experiencing uncharted waters that have displaced normality, we serve a God who remains constant and is ever faithful. In spite of the difficulties and strains brought on us by the pandemic God has been moving in tremendous ways. As we continue to ensure the Holy Spirit remains in charge, whether we are having online fellowship or meeting physically. As the Pastor I continued to settle in the background and watch God blow our minds amidst the challenges that we encountered. In the past year we regrettably said goodbye three members of our congregation. However, we gladly welcomed some new ‘babies’ to the Kingdom of God. The Whitney Church welcomed a total of nine (9) new members, of which (5) five were newly converted and baptized. Furthermore, the wedding bells rang in the Whitney Church last June and two of our newly converted members said “I do” to each other. Also, the future church continues to have an optimistic outlook as four (4) babies were dedicated. General Conventions Each year the Whitney Church of God continues to host its annual week of General Convention during the month of March. In 2020 we were able to host our Convention just before the pandemic hit under the theme: “Our Loving and Caring Lord our God”. This theme was our comfort after everything started to seem uncertain and we were blessed with amazing speakers and choirs. Though we were planning for convention 2021 we were unable to execute same due to more 17

stringent COVID19 restrictions. While, Clarks Town’s General Convention took place in the month of November 2020 and commenced with a Thanksgiving service. We are hopeful that we will be able to host our Thanksgiving Service and week of prayer in November 2021. Evangelism and Outreach Ministry Our Outreach vision continues to illuminate in the community of Foga in the form of a Suday School. As a result of the pandemic meets were paused, however we have resumed and the members of the community continues to be welcoming to hear God’s word. However, the gentleman who promised us the property to construct a church died suddenly and his family members are reluctant in honouring his wishes. Nevertheless, we continue to labour until God provides us with another avenue as we are currently praying and seeking God for financial help and his guidance on our next move. Until then we will continue to host meetings on the roadside in the community. We were unable to host our outdoor outreach meetings due to the different restrictions under the year of review. Women and Men’s Ministry The women and men of the circuit meet weekly on a Tuesday nights. The men of the Whitney COG were able to host their Men’s convention in 2020 which was very fruitful after which we baptized two new members and thereafter many more were received into the kingdom. On the other hand, the women’s group at Whitney is in the process of planning their Prayer Breakfast for the month of September. They continues to partner with the women in the Clarks Town church to assist other women who are in need of their assistance. The women are also actively engaged in their outreach ministries which continues to impact the church community and neighbouring communities. The Clarks Town church has only one man, hence there is currently no active Men’s ministry. Nevertheless, he actively participate in the men’s department at Whitney. Sunday School Ministry The future church within the circuit is progressing. This is evident as we are introduced to new Sunday school children each week. They actively participate and are always willing to boldly declare to the congregation what they learned in their various classes. Presently we have three (3) classes with students ranging from the ages of 2- 17 and an adult class. On a regular Sunday there are often approximately 60 students present for Sunday School. Furthermore, we then hosted our own children’s convention at Whitney in May. It was a blessing and the children who led the entire service demonstrated signs of maturity and willingness to serve and participate in the work of the Lord. 18

Youth Ministry The Youths of the Whitney Church of God were meeting on a Saturday, however there have een an halt due to the pandemic. Nevertheless, the continues to engage in vibrant youth Sundays such as: Jeans Sunday and What Would You Do Sunday, where each youth is presented with a temptation and they must share what they would do in relation to it. These activities help to keep the young people engaged in our services. Since the pandemic the youths have been engaged in daily whatsapp devotions which have been insightful and impacting. While they were unable to host their annual convention in 2020, they are optimistic about convention 2021 in the month of September. Clarks Town currently has no active youth fellowship as most of the young people migrated from the community. Furthermore, the youths were also present at the Regional Youth Convention in July. Also, the Regional Youth Chairman is from the Whitney Church along with other executive members. One of ou youths is presently enrolled in the Leadership Training Institute in Mandeville and is looking forward to completing his tenure shortly. Challenges The main challenges we continue to experience is distance. However, the transportation challenges we had is almost non-existent as God has blessed the church and members with additional vehicles which assist with alleviating the issue we once had. The pandemic poses and issue with our regular weekly meetings. Nevertheless, we were managed to keep physical meetings every Sunday with the exception of one. On that particular Sunday we met online and service was a blessing. In addition, since most members within each church are either students or unemployed we often times encounter financial struggles. Clarks Town continues to face a challenge in the church’s growth. To assist with this issue, I have assigned mature individuals from Whitney to attend Clarks Town each Sunday along with Deacon McKenzie to assist with conducting worship. We continue to pray and work assiduously to encourage the members and to ensure that the church continues to progress. Recommendation and Conclusion We bless God for all those who continues to partner with us on this journey and to the members of the Whitney Circuit of Churches who continues to do their best to keep the mission alive. To 19

our Zone Supervisor who always make the time to come and assist with our baptismal services we appreciate you. The circuit continues to embrace Philippians 4 v13 that we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength. With that in mind the leaders and members of the circuit serve in the ministry of the Church of God in Jamaica. God blessings on You All!!!! Submitted by Rev. HYMNS Renew Thy Church 1 Renew your church, our ministries restore: both to serve and adore. Make us again as salt throughout the land, and as light from a stand. 'Mid somber shadows of the night, where greed and hatreds spread their blight, O send us forth with power endued, help us, Lord, be renewed. 2 Teach us your Word, reveal its truth divine, on our path let it shine; tell of your works, your mighty acts of grace, from each page show your face. As you have loved us, sent your Son, and our salvation now is won, O let our hearts with love be stirred, help us, Lord, know your Word. 3 Teach us to pray, for you are ever near, your still voice let us hear. Our souls are restless till they rest in you, this the goal we pursue. Before your presence keep us still that we may find for us your will, and seek your guidance every day, teach us, Lord, how to pray. 4 Teach us to love, with strength of heart and mind, each and all, humankind; break down old walls of prejudice and hate, leave us not to our fate. As you have loved and given your life to end hostility and strife, O share your grace from heaven above, teach us, Lord, how to love. 22

Breathe on me breath of God 1 Breathe on me, Breath of God, fill me with life anew, that I may love the way you love, and do what you would do. 2 Breathe on me, Breath of God, until my heart is pure, until my will is one with yours, to do and to endure. 3 Breathe on me, Breath of God, so shall I never die, but live with you the perfect life for all eternity. Be Ready When He Comes 1. Would you flee from sin and serve the Lord? Be ready when He comes; He will soon appear with His reward, Be ready when He comes. o Refrain: Be ready, be ready, Be ready when He comes; Be ready, be ready, Be ready when He comes. 2. It is not His will that you be lost, Be ready when He comes; Would you save your soul at any cost? Be ready when He comes. 3. Do you know the end of time is near? Be ready when He comes; Can you live and die in sin’s career? Be ready when He comes. 4. There is awful danger in delay, Be ready when He comes; Will you cast your only hope away? Be ready when He comes. 23
