CITY OF ROCHESTER HILLS Building Division 2021 3rd QUARTER INNOVATIONS Electronic plan review process fully implemented in the Building Department. Chitra developed an email inspection schedule that allows us to coordinate and schedule Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression inspections between our consultant, the contractor and the city inspector. Our customers are starting to request more inspections online. ONLINE Alex Drummer developed a fillable survey INSPECTIONS form that can be sent to our customers to get their feedback on our services. 8 8

CITY OF ROCHESTER HILLS Building Division 2021 3rd QUARTER ACCOMPLISHMENTS The City of Rochester Hills Building Department continues to be a leader in the code compliance industry in the State and around the Nation. Over 25 communities have requested information to improve their operations. Facilities installed a new ultraviolet air purification system at City Hall. Jeff Fraser passed testing and is now an ICC Certified Commercial Plan Examiner. Facilities completed office space renovations for MIS, Assessing and Building. With the help of Lisa Knudsen and Chitra Neelakantan, planning accepted their 1st electronic site plan for review by all development departments. Facilities completed a complete make over of the Fire Station 1, Administration and Community Risk Reduction areas. Scott Cope and Tony Tomasin continue to provide classes for the Building and Electrical Inspectors. The Building Department held a virtual meeting on June 23 with stake holders to get their feedback on our electronic permit and plan review process 9

CITY OF ROCHESTER HILLS Building Division 2021 3rd QUARTER ACCOMPLISHMENTS continued… Facilities completed a complete make over of the Fire Station 1 bay areas, floor, ceiling, walls and doors all being painted. The Facilities Team gave all of the outdoor furniture and picnic tables a fresh look to invite staff out to enjoy the nice weather. The Facilities Team set up an EV charging station committee to discuss the City’s part in the change over to electric vehicles. The Building Technology committee is putting the finishing touches to our 5 year technology plan. The Building Departments mission team has restarted and came up with some good ideas for our 30 days of giving and Christmas week events. 10

CITY OF ROCHESTER HILLS Building Division 2021 3rd QUARTER ACCOMPLISHMENTS continued… Rochester Hills Hero Mario Iafrate received a proclamation from the Mayor for his heroic act of saving a drowning child at Yates Park. The Ordinance Division hosted The Facilities Division gave the mayor and all the Spring HOA Forum on April the Rochester Hills 22nd and the Fall HOA Forum veterans a Big Surprise on October 14th . by completely renovating the Veterans Memorial Pointe. 11
