Rubrics They are assessment tools that allow a detailed analysis of the tasks carried out by students, and also measure the level of knowledge and skills acquired.

Benefits of Using Rubrics They include, on their vertical axis, the aspects of the task or learning objectives to be assessed, and on their horizontal axis, the specific criteria that will be used to do so.

Benefits of Using Rubrics 1. They help the teacher define the learning objectives and skills desired to achieve and develop with a certain task. 2. It allows students to assess the importance and relevance of the content and objectives of the tasks. 3. They guides students about the development of a certain task and the goals they must achieve. 4. Encourage learning and self-evaluation. 5. Increase the objectivity of the evaluation process. 6. Provides the teacher with the evaluation by competences.

How to Create a Rubric 1. Determine the learning objectives or goals that students must achieve and the basic competences that you seek to develop. 2. Identify the elements or aspects that you should assess when evaluating, and to what extent they have been achieved or developed. 3. Define the rating scales and the criteria that fit them. 4. Review the rubric and see if it has the desired educational impact.
