WELLNESS PLANTS JOURNAL celebrating benefits of 12 different wellness plants

Healing House Plants: taking the time to care for or even just to look at and appreciate the beauty, there are many benefits to houseplants. Plants have been reported to improve mood, reduce fatigue, lower stress, lower anxiety, bring a sense of peace and calm. Many plants help add oxygen and purify the air around them.







Lavender: the scent of lavender is said to reduce stress, anxiety, ease depression, promote relaxation, improve mood, and even relieve headaches.







Aloe: Aloe vera is said to help purify the air of formaldehyde and benzene- two chemicals commonly found in household cleaning products. Aloe has amazing healing properties too. Aloe has been used to soothe burns and heal wounds like sunburns, cuts and scrapes. It has also been said to help heal common skin conditions from dry skin to psoriasis. Rub sprig in between your hands vigorously to release the fragrance and inhale. .







Rosemary: besides being a wonderful addition to many recipes, the scent of rosemary has been suggested to help with memory, concentration, de-stressing, allergies, a natural air freshener and even headache relief - rub sprig in between your hands vigorously to release the fragrance and inhale. .







Succulents: succulents can brighten a home in any climate. The have been said to help purify the air, improve the humidity in the home, add fresh oxygen, help with improving feelings of calm, focus and relaxation.







The Snake Plant is said to be oxygen producing and help to filter out harmful pollutants in the air.







Christmas Cactus: this plant releases oxygen throughout the night and helps purify the air as you sleep.







The Bamboo Plant is sometimes referred to as the Lucky Plant; easy to maintain with minimal care needs and can be grown without soil. According to Feng Shui, this plant is said to bring good luck and prosperity. It's beautiful to look at and easily survives indoors without the need for direct sunlight.







The Swiss Cheese Plant is said to help purify the air and is useful in humidifying air conditions.







Mint: you can cut or pick the leaves off of mint and add to your water or other beverages of choice, add to food, even chew for a quick breath freshen. The scent is associated with helping feel alert, energized, invigorated.







Eucalyptus: the scent of eucalyptus is said to help relieve cold symptoms such as congestion, promote relaxation, and calm with it's fresh, inviting scent.







Chrysanthemum or \"mum\" for short: Chrysanthemum is a plant that gets its name from the Greek words for \"gold\" and \"flower\". This name was not only for the golden color of some mum petals, but because they were believed to have mystical healing powers. They are popular in the fall season and add pops of color to any home or outdoor garden.
