VOL.2, JUNE 2023 HOLLOTOLI NNUUNNTTIIUUMM With great delight we bring forth the June NUNTIUM. While in the process of bringing the update of events and activities, we realized we have much to be thankful for, beginning with the ever renewing grace of God. Like all the other months which have lots to provide, June month has been filled with engrossing activities for both the senior and junior school which aroused the curiosity of the learners and thus justified the motives. As you go through the pages, we believe you will see the enthusiasm, energy, creativity, concern and passion of the students at different levels- celebrating the world to keep it green and safe for all creatures, developing a reading habit, regarding the love of father figures and displaying the skills of sportsmanship and music. SENIOR SCHOOL HOLLOTOLI SCHOOL HERITAGE DIMAPUR received a Special CLUB AWARD Mention for the *BEST HERITAGE CLUB AWARD* competing with more than 500 schools across the Nation. HERITAGE CLUB VISIT TO CHUMPO MUSEUM The Heritage club members visited the Chumpo Museum located in Sovima, 6th mile, Dimapur. The Chumpo Museum was set up to showcase the tribal culture of Nagaland. It has a wide collection of both traditional and contemporary Naga artefacts. The club members participated in a mini vlog competition, which helped them create awareness about the richness of Nagaland's culture. INTER-SCHOOL Hollotoli School participated in the Inter- SCIENCE School Science Exhibition organized by DMI St Joseph Global School on 3rd June 2023. The EXHIBITION objective was not only to inculcate a scientific attitude and research mindedness but also to enhance student's interest in Science and Technology. Four students from Class XI participated in the competition and secured the 3rd position.

WORLD Hollotoli School celebrated World Environment Day on the theme \"Beat Plastic Pollution\" in great fervor and spirit. The ENVIRONMENT objective of the event aimed to educate students about the DAY : harmful effects of plastic pollution on our environment and BEAT PLASTIC the urgent need to take action. Essentially, a Pre-Environment POLLUTION Day on 3rd June, 2023 was organized by the Senior Wing of the Department of Science with special guests from No. 2 Training Battalion ARTC and School, 3rd Mile. In addition, a Special Assembly and Poster Making Competition for students of Grade V and VII was organized. The Senior Wing from all classes participated in the poster making competition. Besides, selected students represented the school to participate in Painting, Debate and Quiz competitions respectively at Charis High Academy, Chümoukedima. Hollotoli School won the 2nd prize in the Painting Competition. The events successfully raised awareness about the adverse effects of plastic waste and encouraged the students to adopt sustainable practices in creating a cleaner and greener world. INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST DRUG ABUSE AND ILLICIT TRAFFICKING To observe the 'International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking', the State Excise Department visited the school on 26th June 2023 and addressed the students on drug abuse, highlighting some dimensions of drugs and the impacts of it.

The workshop oiled the brains of the teachers by covering a wide range of topics such as Innovations & Experimentations in Teaching, General Teacher Effectiveness, Art Integration, Scoring Guidelines for X and XII, Learning Outcomes & Pedagogies, etc. It provided valuable insights, activities and techniques to be implemented in the teaching-learning process.

INTERNATIONAL AWARD FOR YOUNG PEOPLE (I.A.Y.P) “You make a living by what you get. You make a life by what you give.” Hollotoli School together with Deaf Biblical Ministry had a special program as part of the last IAYP Voluntary Activity for this session on 29th June, 2023 where our students along with the students of Deaf Biblical Ministry performed Bible verses, songs and skits in sign language.

INTER-HOUSE MUSIC COMPETITION With the aim to bring out the talents of pupils and take their musical abilities forward, Hollotoli School organized the Inter-House Music Competition on 28th June, 2023. The competition was divided into three categories: Solo, Duet and Quartet. All the four houses showcased their captivating performances. The overall winning House for the Inter-House Music Competition, Session 2023 - 2024 was bagged by Tigris House, followed by Euphrates House and Nile House securing the second and third position respectively. G20 Youth Summit Seminar was held at the school G20 SUMMIT in attendance of pupils and teacher-incharges SEMINAR from ten (10) schools of Dimapur, inclusive of Hollotoli School. JuniorSchool World Environment Day On the occasion of World Environment Day, Junior wing of Hollotoli School organized a series of events to raise awareness about the importance of environment conservation. Under the theme, ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’, the students from Pre-Nursery to Class V actively participated in various activities aimed at promoting sustainable practices and reducing plastic waste. A special assembly was organized which aimed to educate students about the harmful effects of plastic pollution in our environment and the urgent need to take action, followed by Colouring Competition for Pre-Nursery to Preparatory, Drawing and Colouring Competition for class I & II and Board Display Competition for classes III to V. MUSIC CLUB SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON WORLD MUSIC DAY On the 21st of June, 2023, the Junior School of Hollotoli School organised a special assembly in celebration of the World Music Day. On this event, the Junior Choir Club and some of the Music students took active part in the programme through solo singing, violin duet and a short speech delivered by two students on the significance of World Music Day. A meditational singing activity was also conducted by the Music teacher. The programme was concluded by a group song where both the Choir and Music students sang together. Altogether 34 students (Junior and Senior School) participated in the 21st Dimapur District Taekwondo (WT) on 30th June & 1st July, 2023.
