What’s the difference Between “How do you do?” and “How are you?”

1 How do you do? The meaning of “How do you do?” in British English is similar to “Please to meet you” in American English.

2 How do you do? doesn’t at all mean the same things as “How are you” in British English .

3 How do you do? Look like a question, but is not used to as a question.

4 How do you do? Is the standard formula used when you are introduced to a person for the first time.

5 How do you do? The correct response is not “I’m fine” or something like that. You should repeat the response back and say “How do you do?”
