Their first born was a son named Alwyn Johannes (VI) Hills known as ‘Allie’, he was born in1915 Calitzdorp, Oudtshoorn and received the names of his grandfather on his mother’s side. On the 3rd of March 1936 he got married to 18-year-old Maria Magdalene Minnie. He was 21 years old and living in Adderley Street, Oudtshoorn presumably still with his parents. At the time of marriage his occupation was a Shoemaker. Magrietha Cornelia (III) Hills the second child was born on the 7th of November 1918 in Calitzdorp, Oudtshoorn. She married Johannes Jacobus (II) Scholtz. The third child was born Hendriena Barendina (I) (Ida) Hills, she was born on the 11th of January 1924 also in Calitzdorp, Oudtshoorn, she married Jan Fedrick Gouws. Esme Hills was the fourth child born and the last daughter to be born from this family. Michael John (II) Hills was the fifth child and second son to be born he too received a family name, his father’s names. The last child and son to be born in this family was Willem Johannes Hills.
