We also just completed our SAP Partner Center of Expertise (PCoE) audit and were re-certified through September 2019. The PCoE certification allows us to provide SAP Maintenance Support to our license customers and collect their annual license renewal fee. This was a long process, beginning early last year, involving a comprehensive review of our technical set up, support documentation and consultant qualifications. Many months, and hours, went into this effort and the Katalyst team worked closely with our SAP Partner Service Advisor to meet the requirements and ensure passing. This month we kicked off a new project with one of our longtime customers to set up their SAP systems for a new Distribution Center they are opening on the East Coast. This project will be completed in three phases with the first phase scheduled for completion by the end of June. This is an aggressive schedule with the Katalyst team led by Dup du Plessis utilizing both on-shore and off-shore resources. The Basis Team successfully completed the upgrade of our Solution Manager to version 7.2. This was instrumental in helping us achieve our PCoE certification with the effort led by Vishal Jaiswal. As part of this upgrade all previous customer maintenance records were migrated to the new version and are now consolidated in one system. Best -Bade Dahunsi www.katalysttech.com

APRIL EDITION The Engineering and Manufacturing Business Unit has significant traction in several areas in 2018 that is ENGINEERING based technology company that will produce in India products which will be used by UPS and Fed-ex to make showing great promise. On the Make in India manufacturing outsourcing side, Rahul and I reached an agreement with a Silicon Valley over-the-road trucks more aerodynamic and fuel efficient. The client and I will be traveling together soon to India to assess the factories where the products will be made. The Construction Equipment Group led by Bhavik Shah has captured several customers including redesigning a Truck Boom Crane with Elliot Equipment in Omaha. Sagar Pawar has just returned from Omaha. We have heard very good things about the work the team has been doing for Elliot. Sagar returned to India and was replaced by a new engineering associate named Prashant Jagatap. This sector will grow significantly in 2018. We have begun projects with Terex, for their crane assembly plant in Oklahoma City and German-based Schwing’s US plants in Minneapolis and Chicago. Sandip is at Terex now nearing the end of a Lean Six Sigma shop floor improvement initiative that involved fixing serious problems in the assembly lines for several lines of cranes at Terex. The team consisting of Sandip Suryavanshi, Devesh Gangele, Aniket Nemade, Prashant Chavan, Sunil Kulkarni and Mayuresh Medhi are returning to India in April. The client reported exceptional performance. By the way Aniket’s wife is expecting and Prashant had a child shortly before his coming to the States. Congratulations. Mahendra Gaikwad is a new addition to the Manufacturing Engineering team who is currently at a plant in Chicago recently acquired by Schwing. Mahendra is documenting the assembly of a conveyorized concrete crane that will be moved to Schwing’s main plant in Minnesota. This work fits very well with the manufacturing engineering work like what Sandip is doing with his team at Terex. Because of Mahendra’ s good work, we are expecting a continued long-term relationship with Schwing. Next week Bhavik Shah and I are traveling to Germany to visit Manitowoc Crane. Bhavik ran the Pune center for Manitowoc which had around 125 associates. We have not reached an agreement yet with Manitowoc, but we hope our trip will put them in the WIN column. This would be a major business capture for the Engineering Group. Keep your fingers crossed for us. No pressure Bhavik. We also have a lot of traction in the automation sector with several clients asking us to provide services in Mechatronics. So far, these clients are in the medical device business, assembling syringes and IV bags among other things. We believe automation will be a major growth area in the near term. APRIL EDITION Welcome to the Innovation Kitchen at Katalyst! INNOVATION cookbook, but by experimenting and thinking outside the box— and you are a chef in the kitchen. When you’re making a dish, do you add pepper or salt first? Does it make a difference for you? Katalyst innovation kitchen is a place where the perfect dishes are discovered, not by simply following the The kitchen has been operating since Dec 1, 2017, and we’ve made a lot of recipes for you to try. For example, EditGenie was a popular dish, but we found some of our customers were allergic to the XML tagging. We got a new chef, CK Editor, who is going to fix many of the browser related issues for the Genie. In our menu, we also added Casper, a software tool built on top of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. This is an advanced version of our server-based pre-editing and copyediting burger offered since the inception of SR Nova and Techset. Our new family member Panacea is making a facelift for our Casper UI. We are also launching our signature dish Sesame, a project management tool for one of the customers project handling. This tool will be used to distribute our workload with other vendors across India. Authors are creating manuscripts in Word and then sending the PDF to BioRxiv to disseminate the idea/details of their research work to the scientific community. As a PDF is not a suitable mode for analysis, BioRxiv is sending the PDF to us to convert it to XML, which will be used thereafter. Our menu is available on the Katalyst PubHub, a network innovation for connecting Publishers, Authors and freelancers. The Katalyst PubHub transforms the standard business blog into a content hub which is designed to attract, educate, and convert our ideal customers; authors, publishers, and freelancers. This is a boon for authors struggling with writing manuscripts for refereed journals, or even those who just want to hone their research-writing skills. It pitches the publishers with aid in commissioning the authors. As a freelancer, they can jump on board now and reap the benefits of mixing need for autonomy and agility with the focus that comes with stability and the opportunity for collegial interactivity. We are opening a food cart at Society for Scholarly Publishing(SSP) Annual Meeting which will be held at the Sheraton Grand in Chicago, May 30-June1, 2018. The cart is getting loaded with our innovative Contextual Copyediting (CC3) and other popular desserts to showcase our brand in the publishing industry. Our special multi-tenant apparel/fashion ERP is getting ready for a world tour with pick-path optimizer and 3D customizer, courtesy of our new family member Panacea. USCIS will suspend premium processing for all FY 2019 cap-subject petitions, including petitions seeking an exemption for individuals with a U.S master’s degree or higher. This suspension is expected to last until Sept. 10, 2018. During this period, USCIS will continue to accept premium processing requests for h-1b Petitions that are not subject to the FY 2019 CAP. This temporary suspension will reduce overall H-1B processing times. • Process long-pending petitions, which we have currently been unable to process due to the high volume of incoming petitions and the significant surge in premium processing requests over the past few years; and • Prioritize adjudication of H-1B extension of status cases that are nearing the 240-day mark. USCIS Strengthens Protections to Combat H-1B Abuses: On February 22, 2018 USCIS released a Policy memorandum, “Contracts and itineraries Requirements for H-1B Petitions Involving Third – Party Worksites, which outlines the documentation required by USCIS for H-1B workers placed at Third- Party worksites (End Client Locations). As we are aware, to be eligible for H1B classification, the petitioner must establish to USCIS, by a preponderance of evidence, that the beneficiary will be employed in a specialty occupation assignment for the duration of the requested period, and the petitioner will maintain the employer-employee relationship with the beneficiary through the requested period. When there is a third-party, off-site placement, with multiple vendors, USCIS will require evidence of the placement through the contracts, work orders, and itineraries. USCIS has stated that this detailed documentation will help USCIS to determine whether there is specialty occupation assignment at the third-party worksite and confirm the existence of the employer- employee relationship. The following is a list of documentation USCIS sets forth in the policy memorandum as required documentation for third party placements confirming the failure to submit this specific evidence may result in H-1B denial: • Evidence of work assignment (technical documentation, milestone tables, marketing analysis, brochures, project documentation) www.katalysttech.com

APRIL EDITION • Copies of contractual agreements between the petitioner and all the parties involved in the contractual path for beneficiary’s placement. (USCIS has indicated that certain portion of the contractual agreement are confidential and can be redacted) • Copies of detailed statement of work, purchase order, and work orders from the end-client detailing the specialized duties that beneficiary will perform, the qualifications required to perform the duties, the project duration, and the hours beneficiary will work on the project • A signed letter by an authorized official at the end-client company detailing specialized job duties, qualifications required to perform the duties, project duration, hours worked, and the description of who will supervise the beneficiary while performing work at the end client location. Therefore, going forward, it is crucial that client letters, vendor letters, detailed itineraries with specific dates, contracts (WO/PO/SOW), and MSAs between all parties are provided to support any H-1B petition. Without these specific documents, as detailed in the policy memorandum, USCIS will deny the case on the basis there is not sufficient evidence for USCIS to determine whether a specialty occupation exists and whether the employer-employee relationship is met.
