“There are only two lasting bequests we can give our children. One of these is roots; the other wings” - Hodding Carter Since the very inception of MVN School Sector-88 in 2017, our vision has been that of a futuristic, comprehensive and progressive school that continues to evolve with the changing times and not only make itself adept at catering to the demands of the 21st century learner but also build foundations of resilience and optimism. Living up to the legacy of the brand name, MVN School Sector-88 scripted a tantalizing success story for the first board result. Our endeavour has always been to instil a love for learning, ignite the fire of imagination and innovation while also inculcating humane values, inciting a scientific temper, empowering our students to take on the dynamic challenges of the future. We ensure the top-notch quality of education by adopting innovative pedagogical practices. We stand committed to providing freedom and opportunities for individual expression to foster creativity and inspire innovation to unlock the real potential of our students. Our educators embrace and support the uniqueness and individuality of each child and skilfully design optimal learning experiences that focus on creating child centred and inclusive learning environments. The journey of the school’s progress has been most fulfilling. While some milestones have been covered, there are many more to explore and achieve. And we are especially grateful to parents who have kept the learning momentum going at the home front and whose overwhelming support has made this journey a breeze.

HOW TO INCULCATE VALUES I AMONG CHILDREN IN EARLY YEARS In the Vedic era, learning ‘Bhagavad Gita’ was divine. In the ancient era, reading didactic scriptures was done with delight. In the 20th century, Amarchitra katha and Panchatantra stories did the magic. However, sadly, in today’s time, we hardly see anyone acknowledging the Gita, reading mythology, or even caring for its moral lessons. If the children don’t stay connected to the real world, many of their questions remain unanswered. To inculcate the values in them we should ensure values and lessons of life are only learnt through real world experiences. It’s a parent who can raise a kid who appreciates, follows and supports justice, loyalty, courtesy, respect, empathy and other core values. What the children learn today will make or break them tomorrow. Albert Einstein, a genius once said, “Try not to become a man of success, but a man of value”. Nevertheless, the importance of values, morals, and ethics can never be overshadowed. The challenge is how to inculcate the moral values in our children? Here is how you can turn your child into a man or woman of value. Be Their Role Model It’s good to share values with children because they learn better by observing their environment. Set a good example by following virtues such as honesty, humility, responsibility and compassion. Sharing positive-real life experiences is a good step as this will acquaint your children with moral values that you wish to inculcate.

Look for Opportunities to Teach Values You can relate values of daily life events in order to tell little ones why these values matter to you. Some parents talk about values after the child does something wrong. This is not a good approach. It is advised that you start imparting values right from an early age. Acknowledge Good Behaviour Reward good behaviour appropriately. For instance, if your child is honest with you about anything, then you can tell them how proud you are!!. When they show you respect and courtesy, appreciate them for their actions. This will give them a pleasant feeling that they are doing something good. With your continuous support and appreciation, children will eventually develop these values and follow them in their daily life. Reading And Storytelling Time One-on-one conversations with your child are often not optimum. The other alternatives are taking out 30 minutes daily to narrate patriotic, religious or moral stories. Going back to Panchatantra Ki kahaniya, Amar Chitra Katha, Tenali Rama stories can do wonders in imbibing values and also triggering their imagination. • Encouraging children to read or watch good autobiographies of well known people which reflect values is a great idea. Show them how the hardship, decision making power and values of these people helped them grow to be successful in life. • • *Play Games* • Playing games is a practical approach to learn many valuable lessons.Playing outdoor and indoor games teach them that success and failure must be taken equally in life. They also teach them to adjust, co-operate and communicatewith other people. • *Spend Quality Time* • It is essential to spend at least 1 or 2 hours with the children every day. Keep a family ritual that all family members must take 1 meal together every day. This creates a strong bond among the members and helps to build values.
