NEW CANCER CENTER AT THE FOREFRONT OF INNOVATION at Clinique Générale-Beaulieu, Geneva
In 1899, the State of Geneva authorized local doctors and surgeons to treat and operate patients in private institutions. In response to this decision, Clinique Générale was founded in Champel, a peaceful, verdant suburb not far from the city center. Shortly after, Clinique Beaulieu opened during World War I and in its day, was rapidly recognized as Switzerland’s most avant-garde clinic.
70 years later, the destinies of these two medical institutions merged together and in summer of 1983, Clinique Générale-Beaulieu was inaugurated. In addition to offering excellent medical facilities, the hospital was also located in an ideal setting with much appreciated views over the Salève and Voiron mountains.
In 2017, Clinique Générale-Beaulieu joined Swiss Medical Network, one of Switzerland’s two leading private hospital groups. Swiss Medical Network encompasses 22 medical institutions, spread throughout the country’s three linguistic regions.
