FLaAmVéOlanUgRe Sof ‘Laughter is brightest where food is best,’ is an Irish proverb that resonates when we talk all things food. This beautifully worded sentiment perfectly encapsulates the diversity and depth of the culinary offering at Dubai Creek Resort. From legacy dining overlooking the Creek waters at Boardwalk, and Provençal inspiration at Twiggy by La Cantine, to the gourmet Traiteur brunch, golf course views at Lakeview and Thai Kitchen’s multisensory experience - we won’t overwhelm you with a self-indulgent list of gastronomic superlatives, we’d rather invite you to take a seat at our table and let the food speak for itself. / 51

BOARDWALK Jutting out over the rippling waters of Dubai Creek sits a 27-year-old legend of the city’s casual dining scene, for soul-soothing food in an idyllic setting. A location that’s hard to beat, especially during the cooler winter season, Boardwalk has been a much-visited Dubai Creek favourite for a quarter of a century. It’s all about the nod to nautical dual-level deck that extends out over the water, where bagging a prime al fresco table is like winning the lotto.

Our Chef recommends Whole poached lobster salad served with avocado, fresh apple and fennel in a lemony dressing. ALWAYS BUSY ALWAYS BUZZING Boardwalk is a popular destination for thirsty golfers, families looking for an easy-going weekend lunch spot and gaggles of friends enjoying a long, lazy lunch (that has every possibility of becoming a sundowner session). The food matches the mood with a relaxed menu that spans a raw bar, butcher’s choice, lobster every which way, pasta, salad, pizza, kids’ options and even a late breakfast treat on weekends. 54 /

ON THE MENU Fresh local Dibba Bay oysters served with a shallot vinaigrette Boardwalk’s signature seafood bouillabaisse featuring tiger prawns, sea bass, clams, mussels with a side of saffron rouille A late breakfast gruyère and caramelised onion French toast Chef’s moreish lemon tart, with a zesty boule of homemade lime and mint sorbet / 55

TWIGGY BY LA CANTINE Fall in love twice at this chic beach club in the heart of old Dubai; first with the exquisite setting and then with the delectable French Mediterranean menu.

Close your eyes and you could almost be on the Côte d’Azur with the sun casting a warm golden glow, waiters bustling between tables and diners laughing as glasses gently clink in celebration of good times. Twiggy by La Cantine debuted at Park Hyatt Dubai in 2021. While the beach club concept has been a fixture on the Dubai scene for some time, this is where Côte d’Azur je ne sais quoi and quintessential Arabian hospitality meet, hang out and have fun. Of course, the instantly Instagrammable city skyline views, quality Mediterranean food and beverage offering, luxurious sun loungers and impeccable service all have a part to play. Oh, and did we mention the 100-metre-long infinity lagoon and private beach? Definitely a deal sealer. Long, lazy lunches, sundowners sitting on the beach, celebrations with friends or intimate dinners à deux, this French Riviera hotspot has it all. Food always tastes better al fresco and Twiggy’s eclectic menu may be fully immersed in French Riviera flavours, but it also draws on influences from across Europe’s sunshine coast, and beyond. Eyes – and tastebuds - are immediately beguiled by the appeal of a classic salade niçoise, a dish that evokes memories of carefree summers by the sea, but a burrata topped pizza garnished with a delicate shaving of black truffle vies for equal attention. / 579

Undecided? Then it has to be the lobster ravioli or your choice of fresh fish or seafood, cooked to order, naturally. And, for dessert, the star is quite clearly the pineapple carpaccio sprinkled with lime zest, passion fruit and served with a coconut sorbet. Fresh flavours, faultlessly executed. ON THE MENU Otoro tuna niçoise Selection of tartares, to share Lobster ravioli with Sicilian lemon Whole grilled sea bass Wagyu tomahawk 58 /

CHALET 105 Twiggy takes your dining expectations off piste at Chalet 105, where an offbeat mountain-inspired setting is the perfect spot to cosy up over some hearty alpine cuisine served with our warm, signature hospitality. A unique location designed in collaboration with renowned luxury European writing instrument, timepiece and leather accessories house, Montblanc, we bring the snow-capped peaks to Dubai. Snuggle up amid vintage furniture, skis and a welcoming fireplace for a convivial dinner event with friends and loved ones, featuring a menu of classic Savoie cuisine from cheese fondue and raclette to your favourite chocolate dessert. / 59

CINNAMON BAZAAR The best dining memories are those enjoyed in good company; and with a menu that speaks to every sense and occasion, Vivek Singh invites you to take a seat at his table and share the experience. The food is an Academy Award-worthy scene stealer here, with a cinematographic kaleidoscope of choice. Conversation will dull to a muted murmur once the food reaches the table, and rise again in volume only once exquisite mouthfuls have been consumed. Snack on crab bonda with a zingy mix of Calcutta spiced crab and beetroot in chickpea batter, or a portion of ‘posh’ aloo puri with truffled potatoes, soured yoghurt and caviar. Appropriately named ‘bazaar plates’ include a must-try signature lamb rogan josh shepherd’s pie, soft shell crab koliwada with pickled apple and fennel, as well as mouthwatering vegetarian options such as grilled aubergine with sesame peanut crumble, labneh and toasted buckwheat. A particular highlight is the restaurant’s very own chaat cart. Serving up an array of traditional street food snacks to your table (with a modern surprise or two to mix things up), signature fillings include king scallop ceviche with caviar and pressed persimmon and a pressed watermelon, amaranth seeds, date chutney and masala cashew nut version.

TIFFIN FOR TWO? Even afternoon tea gets the Cinnamon Bazaar treatment with the Bazaar High Chai offering the only Indian high tea experience in Dubai. Feast on a spread of freshly prepared chaats and Anglo-Indian sandwiches such as masala fish finger with home made tomato chutney. While there are no scones on the menu, guests can indulge in a handmade collection of unique sweet treats such as saffron macarons, coriander pistachio cake and rosewater marshmallows. / 61

Our Chef recommends Sakoo Sai Pak: sago vegetable dumplings with fried garlic and coriander ON THE MENU Larb ped; spicy minced duck salad with chilli, toasted rice powder, lime, shallots and fish sauce Pu pad phong karee; wok-fried crabmeat in yellow curry powder, oyster sauce, soy and chilli paste Tom kha gai; chicken soup with galangal, mushrooms and Thai herbs Pad kra pao neua; spicy minced beef with hot basil, chilli, garlic and kaffir lime leaf 62 /

THE THAI KITCHEN A fragrant jewel in the resort’s epicurean crown, The Thai Kitchen is a culinary gem that has stood the test of time in a city awash with dining opportunities. You can easily find decent Thai food in virtually every corner of the city but finding a restaurant that boasts a winning combination of Bangkok-level authenticity complemented by a matchless setting overlooking Dubai Creek Marina is definitely something to treasure. Another long-standing restaurant within the Park Hyatt Dubai culinary family, dining at Thai Kitchen is a sensory overload waiting to happen. Peek into the semi-open kitchen to see the chefs at work, surrounded by a rainbow-hued collection of fresh vegetables, spices and herbs, as tantalising aromas waft into your consciousness. The only reason to tear yourself away from the sights and sounds of award-winning food being crafted to your specific taste is the lure of the marina yachtscape and relaxed terrace vibe with its hanging lanterns and palm-fringed backdrop. We guarantee, however, that the second the first bite engages your palate, all attention will turn to the food – and rightly so. / 63

Hit the courtyard for a slice of Argentinian tradition from the asado grill and do save room for a trip to the wonders of the world cheese room! 64 /

TRAITEUR BRUNCH An absolute Dubai must-do, the weekend brunch experience is an institution; and where else but Traiteur as the undisputed titleholder of Best Brunch in the city. Dubai locals still get misty-eyed at the memory of the original Traiteur brunch; a staple of the city’s weekend scene in the mid-noughties. Thankfully, its reprised incarnation is just as appetising – and popular – with NOÉPE and Brasserie du Park transformed into a vibrant indoor-outdoor gourmet marketplace every Saturday. Book early to secure a terrace table overlooking the marina then sit back, relax and sip on a classic brunch cocktail while deciding where your palate will take you. Seafood is the undeniable star attraction with a freshly caught selection of briny oysters, plump prawns, lobster, and more; alongside hand-rolled sushi of every description. Carnivores will love the choice of barbecue, or pop into the Brasserie du Park kitchen for a slice of tantalisingly rich foie gras, French charcuterie and a visit to the dedicated cheese room. Not to forget a dessert collection that wouldn’t be out of place in any high-end Parisian pâtisserie. Add live music, a family-friendly ambience and let the weekend begin on a gourmet high. / 65

CREEKSIDE CHILL AT QD’S BAR & GRILL After dark is when QD’s comes alive. Yet another Dubai Creek Resort legend, this expansive and unpretentious al fresco venue still makes the cut when it comes to delivering on both its creekside location and easy-going vibe.

This popular hangout really does have it all, from the spectacular setting to a ‘something for everyone’ menu of Middle Eastern and global flavours, and its famed tiki cocktail collection. A hotspot for those in search of the fragrant delights of a traditional shisha, just follow the wafting notes of smoky apple to find your spot. A casual dress code is the icing on the cake for a relaxed sundown to late night experience. / 69

CELEfBaRyAtTeIONS Life’s most meaningful moments, in life and in business, are meant to be celebrated; and we are passionate about crafting and delivering bespoke experiences that mark personal and professional milestone occasions – and create memories. 68 /

SAY I DO, YOUR WAY Dramatic and romantic in equal measure, Park Hyatt Dubai is, quite simply, made for wedding celebrations. Inspired by Moorish palaces of old, the resort is an open book of bespoke opportunities for you to craft your dream day - with a little expert help from our team of talented planners. Picture a bride in crisp, pure white descending the sweeping flower-draped staircase that opens onto the Palm Garden to the sound of a classic harp announcing her arrival as the groom waits under a canopy of fairylit trees. Or a newly married couple looking into one another’s eyes as they enter a lavish custom-decorated Creek Ballroom as partners for life, to the smiles and well wishes of family and friends gathered. Intimate or large-scale, contemporary or traditional, informal dining or classic banquet, we take your hand and are by your side to guide you through the experience. Our promise is to ensure that the grandest of visions is transformed into a cherished memory… right down to the smallest of details. / 69

STYLISH SOCIAL OCCASIONS Curators of unforgettable experiences, our collection of exceptional indoor and al fresco spaces are a blank canvas for your next social occasion. From a wintertime corporate gala dinner in a verdant garden location with live music, and elegant ballroom setting dressed to host a 50th anniversary celebration where a surprise satellite link connects loved ones far away; to one of our private terraces for a child’s birthday party where the grown-ups can enjoy sensational creekside views while the little ones run, laugh and play – everything is possible. HELLO BABY Getting ready to welcome a new addition to the world invariably involves hosting a fun-filled baby shower. And where better to celebrate the impending joys of motherhood than in the tranquil setting of Park Hyatt Dubai. The contemporary elegance meets Arabian influence of The Lounge is a relaxing, yet stylish setting for an afternoon that’s all about celebrating mama and baby. Our chefs are experts at designing a tailor-made menu of delicious afternoon tea favourites, and our resident master pâtissier creates the most touching baby shower cakes. Just add some balloons, flowers and thoughtful gifts, and we’ll do the rest. MAKE BUSINESS A PLEASURE Business meetings and conferences don’t have to follow convention, and we take great pride in crafting event experiences to inspire even the most jaded corporate executive or CEO. With a choice of five unique settings and spaces designed especially for business meetings and larger gatherings, we know that it’s the little details that make all the difference to delivering a successful event. Our tech-savvy staff are on hand to ensure seamless connectivity and access to the latest technology, while our award-winning culinary team bring innovation and creativity to every coffee break and dining occasion. The final link in the chain is a dedicated event planner, who will work with you to ensure that you can relax and focus all your attention on the business in hand, not the organisation. 70 /

DID YOU KNOW? In the days before Dubai Opera and the Coca Cola Arena, Dubai Creek Resort was an in-demand destination for a multi award-winning roster of global superstars and entertainment with a roster of multi award-winning international artists taking centre stage from Welsh icon Tom Jones, who performed to a 6,000-strong (largely female) audience, and Shaggy, to Bollywood stars Aamir Khan, Akshaye Khanna and Preity Zinta, and Sir Elton John. We’ve also welcomed Adnan Sami, Roger Waters of Pink Floyd and hosted the 2011 Dubai Airshow gala dinner.

Bring your four-legged friend along for the experience, with pets welcomed! 72 /

RESIDEtaNke Cup E Make yourself at home with a stay in one of the resort’s luxury holiday villas, and enjoy the best of both worlds on your terms. We don’t believe that holidays should be a one size fits all concept. Every guest is different, and we love creating tailor-made experiences that surprise, delight and make you feel at home… in our home. And that’s why the Dubai Creek Holiday Villas are so popular. Step into your own private residence where you hold the key to a luxury home and lifestyle, with the resort’s award-winning facilities on the doorstep. This is a home stay with a difference. It’s not about the contemporary styled interiors where four double bedrooms, expansive living and dining spaces, a private swimming pool, and sweeping golf course views exude stylish creekside living. It’s about a feeling of uninhibited freedom, and a place to call your own – even if it’s only a long weekend. It’s about lazy days spent by the pool, a casual barbecue dinner cooked by a private chef, or venturing out to explore the resort before enjoying a nightcap in the garden. / 73

WISH YOU WERE HERE We prefer not to blow our own trumpet and wax lyrical about Dubai Creek Resort’s award-winning facilities, legendary dining locations and superlative leisure experiences; we leave it to our globetrotting guests to share their experiences… 78 /

CORRINNE & RIVER “As a new family of three, we were welcomed for a day at Park Hyatt Dubai’s Amara pool. A family-friendly pool that felt every inch as luxurious as an adults-only, with inset palm trees and four whirlpools to relax in. With our almond milk cappuccinos in hand (yes, we are those people) we settled into our plush loungers under the shade of our umbrella for a late morning snooze. Well what do they say, when the baby sleeps you sleep…right? After a relaxing morning by the Amara pool, we were kindly invited to lunch at the marina-inspired restaurant, Boardwalk, with its unrivalled panoramic views of Dubai’s skyline and outdoor terrace seating on the shores of the infamous waterway. As we sat and enjoyed the views we were seamlessly served a selection of seafood from their lunchtime menu. We happily whiled away the hours under the late afternoon sunshine, before finishing the day with a leisurely walk around the neighbouring harbour. What a way to spend a day in Dubai.” northsouthtravels.com VERONICA SMULDERS “Charming Mediterranean ambiance and wonderful amenities for the whole family will ensure you have no reasons to leave. Away (yet just a vista away) from the glitz and blitz of the city, the resort invites you to sit back, from the moment you drive into the palm shaded avenue, glinting in the sun, until you reach the lobby. Enjoy sitting by the terrace for spectacular views of the Dubai skyline while indulging in seafood delicacies. The kids will love the pizza making experience where they are able to add their favourite toppings and have a self-made pizza brought directly from the table to the oven and back. World-class amenities await you at the resort; from an 18-hole golf course, including a mini golf area the kids will love, to large tennis courts to keep the family active. Given its privileged location, one of the most stunning attributes to enjoy at Park Hyatt Dubai is the vista of the gleaming Dubai skyline where you can best enjoy the golden hour. What a better way to do it than taking a walk or riding by the marina on a bike.” oftripsandtales.com / 87

ELSA & CYRIL “A romantic or family holiday? You may fall in love with this place. The hotel offers a calm and residential atmosphere with plenty of space and privacy. The white walls of the buildings with blue domes are reminiscent of the Greek Islands, while the wood panelling, desert-hued interiors and the scent of incense bewitch you and take you on a journey to the Middle East. But if you want to know the pearl of the resort: head for the lagoon! Nestled on the shores of Dubai Creek, this is a true hidden gem with a stunning infinity pool and private white sand beach. Here, tranquility reigns, you can relax on top-of-the-range sun loungers, in private cabanas or even choose a room or a suite on the beachfront. This little paradise is exclusively reserved for adults and children over 16 years old. With fine, delicious cuisine, superb decor and spectacular views, Park Hyatt Dubai stands out with some of the best bars and restaurants in the city center. Western, Mediterranean, Spanish, Thai or French cuisine, you will be spoilt for choice!” elsacyril.com 88 /

CLUBcla An aspiring golf professional at 16, and with 25 years’ Dubai experience, Julian Danby lives and breathes the sport. As Club Manager, he has been instrumental in its evolution and still wakes up every day with a smile on his face. “I moved to Dubai as a full-time golf instructor in 1997, when I was 21 years old, and quickly realised that my passion lay in people, so the move into club management was a natural one. Meeting my new boss at Dubai Creek on my second day in the UAE was a seminal moment. I was blown away back then and still have a smile on my face every time I drive through the gates. “Without doubt, it’s the people who makes the place special. My colleagues go above and beyond every single day to provide memorable guest and member experiences, with exceptional attention to detail and an incredible ability to know each member by name. “This is paired with an extremely passionate and loyal membership that genuinely care for the club and treat it as their second home. They also appreciate our role in promoting Dubai as a great tourism destination and are proud to share their club with golfers from around the world. “Over the years I’ve been privileged to see the resort grow and develop into what you have today. In 2005, we welcomed the addition of the 222-room, five-star Park Hyatt Dubai, as well as 92 residential villas. At the same time, the front nine holes of the golf course needed redevelopment and we were extremely fortunate to have Thomas Bjørn, former Ryder Cup Captain and multiple major tour winner, help redesign the course. ”Thomas is a regular guest, along with his family, and our roster of famous members includes former Manchester United striker, Dwight Yorke, and Rory McIlroy’s former caddy, JP Fitzgerald. It’s not unusual to play a round during the cooler winter months alongside a host of celebrities, and Roger Federer is a regular visitor during the off season.” 92 /

MY FAVOURITE HOLE “My all-time favourite hole is the par four 18th. It’s what I call a ‘card wrecker’! It can play 20 to 50 yards longer than its length in the afternoon, due to the fact that the prevailing winds blow straight into you. There’s also water to the left and right for most of its full length, as well as short and both sides of the green. Over the years it’s created a lot of drama, and it’s a hole that golfers at any level find unforgettable – thanks to its difficulty and its beauty!” Did you know? Our clubhouse, which dates back to the early 90s, was inspired by the sleek design aesthetic of a traditional Arabian racing dhow and features three iconic sails. It also features on the 20 dirhams note; the only sporting reference to appear on UAE currency. / 93

My home away from home... THOMAS BJØRN Former Ryder Cup Captain and multiple major tour winner. “For over 20 years. I’ve been able to call Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club my home away from home. In that period I have represented the club as its playing professional and was honoured when I was asked to help redesign the layout back in the day. Everything about the club has always been first class. The golf facilities are excellent and the restaurants are in great settings with top notch food. When I am in Dubai I love spending my time at the club. There are many reasons for this but the two main reasons are the friendly members and the brilliant staff. Home is where the heart is and Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club, you have my heart.” / 95

livCe LUeB LIFE Ask any of our club members why Dubai Creek is their home away from home, and we guarantee that ‘sense of community’ and ‘camaraderie’ will headline the conversation. Our iconic clubhouse with its iconic lateen sails-inspired architecture, represents a dhow blown from sea to shore, and its permanent home on the banks of Dubai Creek. A welcome oasis for our diverse multicultural jet-setting community, the club is so much more than a world-class golf destination – it’s a second home. Life as a Dubai Creek member looks different for everyone. Some are here to challenge their golf skills, competing in some of the region’s toughest tournaments - and relishing the pressure of stroke play or the scratch league – while others fill their golf carts with cool beverages, turn up the tunes and cruise the links with their buddies – less concerned with the result, but satisfied with the journey. Many make the most of the rest of the resort by improving their forehand on the tennis courts, their Bandeja on the padel court, their squat technique in the gym, or simply broadening their mind with a good book beside the pool.
