DUBAI CREEK GOLF CLUB In 1993, long before Ain Dubai, Burj Khalifa or Burj Al Arab were even a blueprint on an architect’s desk, Dubai Creek Club’s clubhouse was the talk of the town. Now, almost three decades later, the building, which was inspired by the lateen sails of a traditional dhow, still anchors a one-of-a-kind leisure and culinary experience. Tee off before sunrise on the 18-hole par 71 course with its gently undulating green fairways and stunning Dubai Creek views, before a breakfast debrief from a prime vantage terrace table at Lakeview restaurant. While you’re out enjoying the course, book the younger family members in for a hands-on session at the Peter Cowen Academy. Golf may be at the heart of who we are, but there’s also a gym, tennis (on-trend padel and regular), a swimming pool, kids’ club, marina and more, to discover as a member or guest. And you haven’t really experienced Dubai, either as a resident or visitor, if you haven’t sat and watched the world go by over a relaxed lunch at the Boardwalk or spent a chilled evening in great company at QDs. 14 /

HEDAdURisBTcAoLvAI’SND Beyond the inflight tv ads, glossy magazine spreads and Instagram feeds that entice travellers with tales of a 21st-century city populated by cloud-kissing skyscrapers, and promises of unchecked luxury, lies another Dubai. Dubai Creek holds special significance for the emirate. Once the confluence of the city’s trio of original neighbourhoods, its narrow waterway was home to fishing dhows, small trading vessels and the departure point for the flourishing pearl diving industry. Dredged in the early 1960s to allow access for deeper hulled boats bearing all manner of goods and produce from India, the Far East, Africa and Pakistan, it rose to become the epicentre for international waterborne trade. While the lure of a warp speed journey to the 124th-floor observation deck of Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest tower; a spin around Ain Dubai, overlooking the chic Bluewaters Island district; or a thrilling sky dive over the dramatic outline of Palm Jumeirah, are modern-day Dubai experiences, a day spent exploring the city’s original heartland should be on every visitor itinerary. / 17

Welcome to Deira. Bursting with life, colour, noise and action, Deira is the aesthetic antithesis of Dubai’s contemporary influenced districts. A maze of slender alleyways and winding streets that inevitably lead to the banks of the creek, the area’s historic story is told within a few short blocks. GOLD SOUK One of the city’s most fascinating markets, whether you’re in the market for a glittering purchase or merely browsing, the Gold Souk is home to several hundred established retailers, each invariably fronted by a dazzling window display. From multi-million-dirham wedding sets destined to be part of a bride’s dowry to a pair of gold and pearl earrings as a reminder of the city’s now defunct pearling industry, many of the stores also have their own workshops for custom crafted pieces. In addition to gold, it’s a great spot to barter for various gemstones (semi and precious) as well as silver jewellery. And with the government carefully regulating store merchandise, you can be assured of investing in a genuine piece of wearable treasure. 18 /

SPICE SOUK Less taxing on the wallet, but no less immersive, is the nearby Spice Souk. A short walk from the Deira Old Souq abra station on the creek, this compact street market is a glorious riot of colour and smell with hessian sacks overflowing with an eye-catching array of spices, dried flowers, medicinal herbs and fragrant nuggets of frankincense. Expect to be welcomed by smiling vendors determined to entice you into their store but do be prepared to play the bargaining game as negotiating ‘best price’ is all part of the fun – and expected. Keep an eye out for local spice blends such as bezar, a punchy combination of cumin seeds, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, black peppercorns, dried red chilli, turmeric and cinnamon; perfect for pairing with fish, or preserved Emirati lemons to add zing to a chicken stew. / 19

DUBAI CREEK The cooler months are the perfect time to take a stroll along the banks of Dubai Creek. On the Deira side, this allows for a rare peek into it’s thriving transport scene with heavily laden wooden dhow boats still plying their trade between the Gulf, sub-continent and Africa. Watch crews hard at work loading and unloading an incredible array of saleable goods from truck tyres and mattresses to bolts of brightly coloured textiles and even the odd secondhand vehicle. Hop onto an abra ferry for the Dhs1 ride across to the Bur Dubai side of the creek for a wander into the shaded lanes of the Old Souk, a journey through the city’s history at Dubai Museum, and a refreshing glass of lemon and mint juice at any one of the local waterfront cafés. 20 /

Ndaóy tnoiEghPt Eat It’s not often you find a venue that ticks all the boxes; that effortlessly and joyously transitions from sun to shadow to starlight; but then maybe you haven’t been to NOÉPE.

An instantly calming panoramic vista of gently bobbing white yachts on sun-dappled water? Tick. The distant city skyline as a picture postcard backdrop? Tick. An intimate table for two for a casual al fresco terrace lunch? Tick again. Sundowners, brunch or a nightcap with friends, just because? Tick, tick, tick. As you wend your way through the lush grounds of Park Hyatt Dubai with Beyond the façade of this all-white, wooden shuttered, timber decked the Dubai Creek Marina as your compass, there it is. Plucked straight out destination lies a light and airy restaurant and bar that is delightfully of the covers of an Architectural Digest piece on Cape Cod or The absent of any pretension. DOWN TIME Catch the ember rays of the sun without being crowded by Dubai’s rambunctious party people. A clear winner in the sundowner stakes, the crowd is relaxed, and the mood is altogether more mellow, especially during the week. Everyone is welcome. You could find yourself comparing favourite cocktail notes with an investment banker here on business from Singapore; asking a group of Dubai-ites for their best souk shopping tips; chatting with a family on their third visit to the hotel; or simply drinking in the sparkling city skyline view without saying a word. Weekend nights we amp up the vibe, but just enough to lift the ambience and keep the conversation flowing. The resident DJ is a master at reading the audience, with a playlist that enhances rather than overpowers. It doesn’t get better than this. / 27

While the setting deserves top billing, the menu is just as captivating. A marriage of New England and Nikkei flavours, complemented by an equally creative beverage menu, the focus is simple yet exquisite. NOÉPE is a no-reservations venue, so for weekend dining we suggest you head there early to secure a sought-after terrace table. STAR CATCH Waterside dining means that fish and seafood hero the menu, and kudos goes to the culinary brigade with a wave of innovative dishes to ponder. Standouts include the spicy crab tartare, with its rich yet delicate white crab meat enlivened by a hint of fiery chilli, and the unmissable passion fruit leche de tigre served with compressed green apple and the warmth of crushed pink peppercorns. Sharing bites also figure prominently on the menu and the juicy grilled king prawns with peach, mango, piquillo and coriander are almost too good to split. Ship to shore Did someone say lobster? From a light lunch, dinner takes it to the next level. The lobster, sea bass, scallop, mussels and prawns platter is an absolute classic; with garlic butter, sauce vièrge and beurre blanc..of course. Upscale fruits de mer are juxtaposed against a selection of carnivore delights; a shout out for the sticky short ribs with gojuchang glaze, edamame and grapefruit or surf ‘n’ turf burger, which is a taste of the best of both worlds. Sunday Brunch It’s not a Dubai weekend if brunch isn’t booked in the diary. At NOÉPE, it’s all about Sundaze Brunch where the ambience is laidback, the cocktails are flowing and the food is light, bright and expectedly moreish. We’ve kept it easy going with sushi and sashimi served tableside before we invite you to take a wander around a world menu of edible indulgence, from savoury to sweet. History roll call Synonymous with lazy sun-drenched days spent on the shoreline, the lobster roll has a storied century-old history. This New England favourite is also a NOÉPE headliner with a rich, buttery soft roll filled with gently braised lobster meat, chives and charred corn. Our secret ingredient? Wasabi cocktail sauce. 28 /

IN THE MIX Cocktails are anything but conventional at NOÉPE. Our resident mixologist Nayan shares his three favourite signature concoctions. Mandarin Spritz Why have oranges when you can use mandarins for an extra punch of intensity? Gifted and used for decoration during Chinese New Year, they are a traditional symbol of abundance and good fortune. Our signature cocktails mixes mandarin vodka and sparkling wine with a touch of zesty mandarin purée, topped with soda water. Delicious any time of the year! Yacht Party Perched directly over the marina, our highly prized location demands that we serve a cocktail to celebrate the setting. A retro inspired concoction, we blend vodka with blue curaçao to represent the surrounding Gulf waters and banana liqueur to symbolise Dubai’s sunshine, with an added hit of lemon and simple syrup. Definitely a slow sip to enjoy in good company. Locked and Loaded Often ordered out of curiosity but one that swiftly becomes a go-to drink, the pairing of the finest whisky with a twist of black pepper, drizzle of honey and swoosh of lemon juice has a fascinating and quite unexpected flavour profile. It’s also guaranteed to be a table talking point. / 29

NEW Wt ATERS Smooth sailing is the mantra at Dubai Creek Marina where a quarter-century of maritime experience ensures that boat owners and charter guests have a memorable experience. What could be more civilised than sailing into the exclusive Even if you’re not the captain of your own yacht, the marina Dubai Creek Marina, berthing at a reserved mooring then is your personal gateway to fabulous times on and off the hopping off for a signature lobster roll and chilled glass of water. A duo of charter vessels – the Sneak Away and something delightful at NOÉPE, or checking in for a luxury Creek Breeze – are available for intimate leisure cruising weekend at Park Hyatt Dubai? and sport fishing for up to six guests. Did you know? The 121-berth Dubai Creek Marina is an award winning fully working facility encompassing a boat repair yard, workshop and chandlery; able to accommodate vessels up to 165 feet.

See the city from a different perspective with a trip along the Dubai Creek Canal and out into the ocean, past The World archipelago and Palm Jumeirah; or head to deeper waters in search of barracuda and king fish.

MEET It is, perhaps, a cliché, but we know that it is the BbuETisniSHneTEe people behind the scenes and leading each and every guest experience that make Dubai Creek Resort the preferred destination for our well-travelled international clientele – and a favourite for every occasion. We’re also privileged to be the Dubai home of a sought-after community of international lifestyle icons who represent the highest echelons of the culinary, style and sporting world. From hairdresser to the stars, Rossano Ferretti, and globally acknowledged contemporary Indian chef of his generation, Vivek Singh, to visionary French restaurateur, Rizwan Kassim, and one of the world’s most in-demand golfing professionals, Peter Cowen, a subtle sprinkling of celebrity style elevates the resort experience. / 33

Recognised as one of the world’s elite teaching professionals, Peter Cowen has coached some of the game’s best-known players with more than 250 golf tour and 10 Majors wins. Learn from the best at his eponymous academy at Dubai Creek Resort. A professional player for a decade during the 1970s, Peter has been a sought-after full-time international tour coach for almost 25 years. The likes of Darren Clarke, Lee Westwood, Thomas Bjørn, Sergio Garcia and Henrik Stenson have all benefited from his hands-on experience, but the unassuming Yorkshireman likes to keep a low profile. The lure of Dubai as a world-class golfing destination is well known, and Peter has a long association with the emirate, playing his first round at the British Caledonian Lions Pro-Am at the old Dubai Country Club in 1988. A year later, his name was on the card for the inaugural Dubai Desert Classic at Emirates Golf Club. Today, his presence is a more permanent one, with three eponymous academies located at Dubai Creek Golf Club, Emirates Golf Club and Jumeirah Golf Estates, manned by a superbly qualified pro team. 34 /

Peter Cowen with COACHING FOR Rory McIlroy GREATNESS His list of achievements is a long one, with 10 Majors and over 250 international golf tour wins under his belt, including time spent coaching seven Ryder Club captains. The Yorkshire-born 70-year-old, who is also a global ambassador for Callaway Golf, has no intention on slowing down anytime soon, and continues to work with A-list players, often jumping on a plane at a moment’s notice. And his roster of past and present names continues to grow, from Graeme McDowell, Louis Oosthuizen, Danny Willett and Charl Schwartzel to, more recently, Thomas Pieters and Matthew Fitzpatrick. Peter was also one of the first to spot a then 14-year-old Rory McIlroy’s potential during a stint working with the Irish men’s team. His underlying confidence in being able to improve a (professional) player’s game with just 15 minutes hands-off coaching per day is clearly fact and he lives by his own 3 R’s for lifelong success: self-respect, respect for those who are there to help you, and responsibility. TEE OFF FOR SUCCESS One of the most established golf academies in the region, the Peter Cowen Academy at Dubai Creek Golf Club, right here at the Dubai Creek Resort is run by a team of fully qualified PGA professionals. Whether it’s a one-to-one lesson or a group clinic, a day at the Junior Academy, the ladies’ group programme, a session at the indoor golf simulator or Swing Catalyst analysis, we guarantee the Peter Cowen touch with every experience. VIVEK SINGH CINNAMON BAZAAR From London’s political heartland to Dubai’s social epicentre, acclaimed chef and restaurateur Vivek Singh brings his own brand of contemporary Indian cuisine to the creek shoreline, at Cinnamon Bazaar. A culinary institution in London’s Westminster, The Cinnamon Club has been a firm favourite of ministers, media and lovers of contemporary Indian food for two decades. There’s no longer a pressing need to pencil a lunch or dinner in on your next visit to the UK capital, however, with Park Hyatt Dubai opening its doors in 2021 to the restaurant’s first international outpost - and to its legendary founder and executive chef, Vivek Singh. 38 /

/ 39

A master of Indian fine dining, Vivek Singh’s growing culinary empire encompasses five restaurants across London - and now his first in Dubai - with the executive chef and CEO also a published author (six cookbooks), regular face on UK television and a popular speaker at live cookery events. Since opening his first venue, The Cinnamon Club, in 2001 at the Old Westminster Library in the City of London, Vivek has been on a mission to constantly redefine and refine traditional expectations of Indian cuisine. Subsequent London openings included the city’s first tandoor bar and grill, Cinnamon Kitchen (2008); Cinnamon Bazaar, where Old World flavours meet the bustle of a spice bazaar (2016); and a second Cinnamon Kitchen outpost (2018). Fans can also recreate his dishes at home with a choice of cookbooks including the bestselling original The Cinnamon Club Cookbook, The Cinnamon Club Seafood Cookbook, Curry: Classic and Contemporary, Cinnamon Kitchen: The Cookbook, Spice at Home, and Vivek Singh’s Indian Festival Feasts. 40 /

“Park Hyatt Dubai is an institution and, like The Cinnamon Collection, has a longstanding and deserved reputation for excellence.” Chef Vivek Singh CINNAMON BAZAAR AT PARK HYATT DUBAI In the same year that Vivek Singh’s renowned The Cinnamon Club celebrates its landmark 20th anniversary, the very first international outpost opened in Dubai at Park Hyatt Dubai. A space that doesn’t shy away from making a statement, the bazaar vibe anchors the interior design. Expect to dine against a backdrop of vivid green and blue mosaic detailing, pastel pink pillars and gently curving arches under a swagged ceiling, with plenty of gilt touches. The menu is equally vibrant and showcases Vivek’s signature culinary style, which marries traditional Indian flavours with a western fine dining style, with a nod to Dubai’s reputation as a cultural melting pot. It’s the kind of experience that simply has to be shared. / 41

ROSSANO FERRETTI Beloved by red carpet celebrities and royals, including the Duchess of Cambridge, Lady Gaga, Kate Moss and Jennifer Lawrence, step into Rossano Ferretti at Park Hyatt Dubai and let your hair down. As a 14-year-old in his home town of Campegine, Italy - holding his first pair of hairdressing scissors - Rossano Ferretti already had global ambitions. Three decades later, his salons are found at the very best addresses in New York, Paris, Rome, Beijing, Monaco, Madrid, Dubai, as well as 14 other major cities and high-end destinations. A perfectionist by nature, he travelled the world to learn everything about hair design and architecture, and hone his skills, with a goal of transforming the everyday client salon visit into a bespoke, luxury experience. Internationally recognised as a hair and beauty industry maestro, his years of experience and eye for individual style has courted a star-studded clientele of celebrities, royals and now, Dubai society. 42 /

/ 43

“Ours is a timeless style, and it reveals every person's unique and natural beauty.” Rossano Ferretti A CUT ABOVE The Rossano Ferretti experience is a world away from the expected. It all starts with the location and ambience, with Rossano personally overseeing the salon design at Park Hyatt Dubai, where a strong architectural statement designed to bring the outside in, creates a harmonious environment to both relax and inspire. Floor-to-ceiling windows set the scene, fronting a large open terrace overlooking the hotel’s marina and accented by luxurious Italian leather upholstery. RIZWAN KASSIM TWIGGY BY LA CANTINE A love of good food and good times led pioneering RIKAS Hospitality Group founder, Rizwan Kassim, to introduce French Riviera chic to Dubai Creek Resort; and the Parisian entrepreneur isn’t stopping there. Named after the iconic ‘60s supermodel (before the term supermodel had even been coined), Twiggy by La Cantine is the brainchild of Paris-born entrepreneur Rizwan Kassim. Entrepreneurship runs in his blood; coming from a family whose trio of core values - respect, perseverance and honesty – are principles that he lives, and works, by. His name may be synonymous with dining and entertainment, but Rizwan’s career path was grounded in finance after which he ventured into the world of retail, earning his stripes developing high-end international fashion brands. A deep-seated passion for good food and authentic dining experiences meant, however, there was a certain inevitability that his journey would take him into the world of gastronomy. Paris is synonymous with good food and good times, and he was inspired by one of his favourite neighbourhood locales, La Cantine du Faubourg, where his friendship with owners Pierre Pirajean and Héléna Paraboschi eventually blossomed into a business partnership. Rizwan realised his dream of bringing La Cantine du Faubourg to Dubai in 2015, and this proved to be a gateway to the world, with a collection of other equally exciting concepts subsequently launched in Paris, Marrakech, Ibiza and multiple locations across Dubai. 46 /

/ 47

BEACH CLUB CHIC Twiggy by La Cantine made its regional debut in 2021 at Park Hyatt Dubai, adding its voice to the Rikas Hospitality Group’s blossoming portfolio of global dining venues. While beach clubs are already de rigeur for the city’s sun-seeking social set, the elevated coupling of Côte d’Azur inspired design with the resort’s one-of-a-kind lagoon offering, and Dubai Creek’s naturally photogenic setting, make it a win-win (and win!) destination. Twiggy was also one of a mere handful of hand-picked global destinations chosen to showcase iconic luxury brand Burberry’s TB Summer Monogram 2021 pop-up collection as part of an exclusive partnership between the established British design icon and newly minted Mediterranean luxury beachfront destination. Curated by the legendary fashion house and presented with signature Park Hyatt style, beach club guests were treated to delicious gelato from specially monogrammed ice- cream carts and reclined under uniquely branded cabana canopies and parasols. 48 /

THE FUTURE And it doesn’t stop there.
