• Each organization should register a team consisting of 3 representatives on or before February 24, 2022. • The event is all about redesigning/innovating Product, Process or Problem to be given by the Design Head Judge on the spot. • There will be 4 Phases on this event 1. Pre-orientation to be held by the Academics Affairs Committee. 2. Orientation to be held by the Head Panelist of the Event, this will happen on the day of the event. 3. Designing phase 4. Presentation proper • The Analysts should enter the given Google meet link exactly or before the time and date prescribed for their orientation and to give the case to be redesigned. • The Analysts should present and enter their prescribed Google meet room exactly on the time scheduled otherwise, default. • The Analysts may use different tools or applications in presenting, they may also use “Share Screen” option in presenting the design. They may also use different applications or software in making up their designs such as CAD, Photoshops, Solid Works and the likes. • The presentation file should be submitted on or before 1pm ,March 06, 2022, on the SSC email ([email protected]) with a file name “Organization_Team Name”. Note: you should submit a ppt (powerpoint) format presentation only. • There will be an elimination round in which all the powerpoint presentations will be evaluated by the panels and only the top 5 teams could present their presentation with the panels via zoom, on Mar 11, 2022, Friday.
• The Winner of the event will be the top team average scorer, there will be top 5 winners that will receive cash prizes and certificates; First place – 2,000 pesos Second Place – 1,500 pesos Third Place – 1,200 pesos Fourth Place – 900 pesos Fifth Place – 600 pesos • The Average scores is to be computed by the Academic Affairs Committee and to be audited by the SSC Auditor from the 3 panelists. • The entries shall be evaluated by the panel of judges of the following criteria: CRITERIA FOR JUDGING 30% 15% ORIGINALITY OF THE DESIGN 15% 40% (INNOVATIVENESS OF THE SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM BEING ADDRESSED) 100% CREATIVITY (AESTHETIC VALUE OF THE DESIGN) TEAMWORK (COLLABORATIVE PRESENTATION AND IDEAS) DESIGN AND METHODOLOGY (USE OF DIFFERENT DESIGN PRINCIPLE) TOTAL • The winning entries will be announced on the 2nd day of the event, March 12, 2022.
• This is a group contest open to all bonafide students of Batangas State University Alangilan Campus. Each must have two (2) to four (4) members. • The content of the infomercial video must revolve around the banner theme “Fighting Misinformation”. • The video should run for a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of six (6) minutes. One point deduction from their scores for every 10 seconds in excess or deficit. • Video resolution should be at least 720p. The video format can be in .avi, .wmv, .mov, or .mp4. • It should be original and must not have been submitted to any video contest. • All information presented in the video must be cited, giving credit to the original source. Plagiarism of any kind will result in disqualification. • The material must be solely produced by the members of the group. Contracting professional services or outsourcing is strictly not allowed. • Any form of multimedia device is allowed in creating the infomercial. • The entry must not contain actions that are vulgar, offensive, or wholly inappropriate contents • The deadline for submission is on March 4, 2022, at 9 PM. Submit the entries via e-mail to [email protected], with the subject “Infomercial_ORGName”. The entry should be submitted with a file name of “Organization_Title” ex. “JPIIE_IEngage” together with the following details: a) Name of the participants b) Course/Program (don’t abbreviate)

GENERAL GUIDELINE 1. Quiz Show is an individual competition (organizations are required to send a minimum of 1, maximum of 3 participants). 2. The contest proper will consist of two (2) rounds; the elimination and final round. The elimination round will be held virtually using AHASlides as the platform. The top 10 finalists will advance to the final round to be held at the Alangilan Campus. 3. Participants are required to be fully-vaccinated since the final round will be held at the university. 4. The scope of the quiz show will be the following categories: • Mathematics • Science, Technology, Health and Environment • Vocabulary • Current Events and Entertainment • Philippine History, Geography, Culture and Arts 5. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable. ELIMINATION ROUND 1. Participants are required to have at least two (2) working devices at the time of the elimination round of the quiz show. Participants are required to open their camera during the contest proper. Monitoring will be done by the SSC Officers in charge. 2. Participants are required to join in the zoom during the contest proper. Link will be provided by the SSC Officer in charge before the contest starts.
3. For the elimination, there shall be three rounds namely: Easy, Average and Difficult. The following round is composed of the following: Easy - 15 questions Average - 10 questions Difficult - 5 questions 4. For every correct answer, each round has the following corresponding points: Easy - 1 point Average - 3 points Difficult - 5 points 5. The quiz master shall read the question twice. The contestants shall be given a time limit to answer the questions. Timing will start after the question has been read twice. The contestants can only start answering after the signal given by the quiz master. ROUND TIME Easy 15 seconds Average 30 seconds Difficult 1 minute 6. For identification type of questions, the participants must answer depending on what was asked in the questions. Format of answers will be stated. Capitalization, and proper punctuations will be observed. 7. After the three rounds, only the top ten (10) scorers will proceed to the final round
FINAL ROUND 1. For the final round, this will be held at the Alangilan Campus in a face-to- face setup. Safety protocols will be observed all throughout the activity. 2. The finalists are required to register to the registration committee. After the registration, they will be given their respective numbers and materials (board, marker and eraser). 3. There shall be three rounds namely: Easy, Average and Difficult. The rounds are composed of the following: Easy - 15 questions Average - 10 questions Difficult - 5 questions 4. For every correct answer, each round has the following corresponding points: Easy - 1 point Average - 3 points Difficult - 5 points 5. The quiz master shall read the question twice. The contestants shall be given a time limit to answer the questions. Timing will start after the question has been read twice. Capitalization, and proper punctuations will be observed. 8. The points garnered by the participants in each round will be tallied and totaled by the tabulator. The top 5 participants will be declared as winners. In case of a tie, the participants will undergo the clincher round wherein they will answer a do or die question. 9. Winners will receive a cash prize worth of: First place – 1,500 pesos Second Place – 1,200 pesos Third Place – 1,000 pesos Fourth Place – 800 pesos Fifth Place – 500 pesos
MECHANICS 1. The contest is an individual competition. Each organization must send one (1) official contestant. 2. The time limit is two (2) hours for all the contestants. GUIDELINES 1. A minimum of five hundred (500) words and a maximum of one thousand (1000) words shall be implemented. 2. Topics will be announced to the contestants at once. It will be in a form of word, a saying or a current event or in a form of question. 3. The participants must send it in a word document file (.docx) through the email of Supreme Student Council - Alangilan, [email protected] u.edu.ph 4. Five winners (First, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Placers) will be chosen by the judges. The write ups will be judged according to the criteria as follows: CRITERIA FOR JUDGING 40% CONTENT / RELEVANCE TO THE THEME OR TOPIC 30% STYLE 20% ORGANIZATION 10% GRAMMAR 100% TOTAL 5. MECHANICS 1. The contest is an individual competition. Each organization is required to send one (1) official contestant. 2. Contestants will be given thirty (30) hours to create their design. 3. The theme will be announced the day prior to the competition schedule. GUIDELINES 1. For this competition, ‘digital art’ is defined as a drawing or painting presented in digital form made from scratch. Photography, photo manipulation, and photo collages are not considered. 2. The output must be submitted in A4 size (landscape or portrait) in JPEG/PNG format. 3. Outputs should be an original design. Any form of plagiarism will lead to disqualification. 4. Participants may use any application or software. 5. Official entries will be accompanied by a title and a brief description not exceeding 250 words. 6. Entries shall be submitted to bit.ly/DigitalArt-PalaSSCpan 7. Five winners (First, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Placers) will be chosen by the judges.
