Scooter Safety Training - For Children in Years 1 and 2.     This is an active road safety based course that unlike other training providers gives the children the experience of being trained in the playground andon risk assessed pavements around the school. This ensures children can identify local dangers on their school journey and learn safe ways to deal with them. Training covers braking, pedestrian etiquette, pavement obstructions, crossing roads, parked cars and driveways. Children are trained in groups of 12-15 at a time with 2 trainers. Training is designed to teach safe scooting and is not a learn to scoot course. Training specifically deals with children who scoot ahead of parents on the school journey and gives them the skills and confidence to allow them to do this safely. To participate children need a scooter, a helmet and parents consent. We can supply this equipment if required. We will train up to 60 children during a school day. Price £ 4 49 + VAT per day  2

Pedestrian Training - For Children in Years 3 to 6.   This is a totally roadside based educational activity that prepares children for safe independent journeys. Risk assessed safe routes are used around the school to identify dangers that children may encounter on the school journey. An engaging 45 minute discussion based session ensures all children learn the safest way to deal with local road dangers. The training covers: ❏ Finding safe places to cross. This includes the correct use of pedestrian crossings using actual crossings close to the school. Encompassing Pelicans, Zebras, traffic islands and school crossing patrollers. ❏ The most common mistakes made by drivers and child pedestrians. This includes distractions from mobile phones, headphones, inappropriate roadside behaviour etc. ❏ How to cross safely at junctions, parked cars and the dangers of cars reversing from driveways Children are trained in groups, in line with RoSPA ratio guidelines of 1 adult to 8 children. We will train a whole year group during the school day.   Prices from £ 6.65 + VAT per child 3

Theatre in Education Road Safety Shows    We offer 2 different shows, one for each key stage. Lively interactive role play based shows that use many props to stimulate children's imaginations.
