Jaanapada is a word made by two words Jana - People or tribe Pada - a kind of short verse put together. The folk culture of Kannadigas was known by this name from time the languages came into existence. It is a small song which are sung on every occasion like marriage, festival, travel and most importantly on every work done mostly from harvest to cooking. GRADE 4 Take Mathematics into the real world A hands-on activity to exhibit the basic geometric concepts of rays, parallel, intersecting and angles in order to clarify and understand practical examples geometry in everyday life. Children projected great enthusiasm and ease of grasping concepts through the activity. The children used mobile torch lights as an example of the artificial rays as compared to natural rays. A comb was used as a practical example of parallel lines. The students used pencils to create examples of angles. GRADE 4 Take Mathematics into the real world A hands-on activity was done in the class to demonstrate how to find factors of a given number. Teacher used coloured tiles to explain the concept of factors using equal grouping. Children displayed their understanding of factors using grains, beans and even pasta! STUDENTS’ ACHIEVEMENTS And the winners are… We were overwhelmed, as we celebrated the outstanding way we brought together a fine manifestation of pristine, literary triumph of accomplishing grand gems under the same roof. We had over 420 participants from all over success in a colossal event, India who took part in this mega event. Our students made us albeit in a virtual setup.
