6 NON ESISTE … IL FUTURO È … UN PERCORSO COLLETTIVO Non esiste rivoluzione solitaria. Non esiste rivoluzione civile senza una azione quotidiana, continua, profonda. Non esiste processo culturale senza l’obiettivo di una cultura collettiva. Non esiste cambiamento senza dialogo e coinvolgimento. Non esiste architettura senza cultura. Non esiste architettura senza dialogo. Non esiste anima senza l’altro. Non esiste la ricerca senza un saper fare. Non esiste ragione senza emozione. Non esiste battaglia individuale senza obiettivo collettivo. Occorre sostenere l’arte, la cultura, e il progetto di architettura come strumento di trasformazione della realtà e di dialogo con il tempo (anima). Oggi, nell’assenza di figure chiavi e nell’incapacità politica di creare dispositivi e persone virtuose,l’azione deve e può avvenire soltanto attraverso un nuovo sentimento che dovrà appartenere ad una pluralità di attori e di ruoli, e da questo viene reso vivo e attivo. Il dialogo diventa a bassa voce, ma quotidiano, l’azione profonda e reale, il percorso virtuoso e culturale. Passo dopo passo. Possiamo cambiare. Noi .. il mondo. IT DOES NOT EXIST … THE FUTURE IS … A COLLECTIVE PATH It does not exist a solitary revolution. It does not exist a civil revolution without a daily, continuous, accurate action. It does not exist a cultural path without a goal for a collective culture. It does not exist a change without dialogue and involvement. It does not exist architecture without culture. It does not exist architecture without dialogue. It does not exist soul without the other. It does not exist the research without know how. It does not exist reason without emotion It does not exist individual battle without a collective goal. We need to support the Art, the culture and the architecture projects as transformation tools of reality and dialogue with the time that flows (the soul). Today, while awaiting for key players and suffering the incompentence of politics to create virtuos cycles and fellows, the action shall uniquely come through a new feeling which belongs to a plurality of actors, roles and through this, becomes living and active. L’estensione dell’Acquario di Lisbona consiste nella nuova entrata all’emblematico edificio che ospi- ta uno degli acquari piu ricchi e meglio concepiti dell’intera Europa, opera del riconosciuto architetto Peter Chermayeff nel Parque das Nações, un’area completamente trasformata in occasione dell’Espo- sizione Universale di Lisbona del 1998 con progetti di architetti quali Alvaro Siza, Souto de Moura e San- tiago Calatrava. Commissionato nel 2008 dalla societá Parque das Nações e dalla direzione dell’Oceanario allo studio Campos Costa Arquitectos, il nuovo complesso dell’Acquario di Lisbona ospita un auditorium, un bar/ristorante, una sala per esposizioni tempora- nee, oltre alla nuova entrata all’edificio esistente. Nel prisma irregolare dai lati inclinati e che fa da contrappunto al progetto di Chermayeff, esiste un’attenzione a creare un’architettura che sia ca- pace di combinare i requisiti estetici con buone performance in termini di sostenibilitá. La scelta formale della facciata, l’insediamento e la distribu- zione funzionale, rispondono efficacemente alle questioni termiche, in forma passiva, permettendo una grande efficienza nel raffrescamento e nel ri- scaldamento dell’edificio. La facciata riassume in sé alcune di queste attenzio- ni. La gelosia (elemento dell’architettura tradizio- nale) é un filtro molto efficace alla luce solare. Allo stesso tempo la scelta compositiva/plastica é rela- zionata al materiale scelto e ne cerca la luminositá e la vivacitá degli smalti attraverso elementi che ri- portano simbolicamente ai temi marini: pesci, squa- me, luminositá e poetica, generando una facciata in costante mutazione. La facciata ceramica é stata prodotta e sviluppata con il Consorcio – Cerámica Cumella (ceramica) e Disset (sistema di facciate ventilate). Gli elementi sono in ceramica di gres di 50x50 cm, tridimensio- nali, con 6 toni differenti di bianco, fissati in un siste- ma di facciata ventilata, fa eccezione la gelosia per la quale é stato scelto un sistema autoportante di archi metallici ricoperto da elementi di gres vetrato. 46 L’edificio, con destinazioni diverse nel tempo, com- preso tra una linea d’acqua ed una fascia agricola limitata da un tratto autostradale, si presentava in principio fortemente degradato e alterato dal pun- to di vista tipologico e costruttivo. L’impianto planimetrico scaturisce dalla naturale delimitazione compresa tra la linea d’acqua e una strada di accesso alle proprietà agricole, si tratta di un impianto irregolare con evidenti conseguenze sulla geometria della pianta e sui volumi della pre- esistenza. Parti aggiunte, parti demolite e ricostru- ite per l’adattamento alle differenti funzioni, sono segni visibili che costituivano gli aspetti della pre- esistenza. Alla sequenza dei volumi lungo la linea curva del fiume si associavano le numerose e semplici aper- ture protette da una leggera griglia di ferro e vetro sottile; ritmi semplici ripetuti, ma sempre con pic- coli scarti dimensionali che accompagnavano le irregolarità planimetriche e il livello di approssima- zione del sistema costruttivo. Il progetto, insiste precisamente sull’area costruita preesistente, come risposta alle condizionanti del programma di concorso che imponevano, il mante- nimento dei confini planimetrici, la volumetria e un costo d’intervento contenuto in valori di 1000 Euro/ m2. Il progetto ha utilizzato quasi tutte le specifi- cità del luogo e della preesistenza per trasformarli in occasioni di dialogo tra materia e paesaggio, tra memoria di un edificio e uno spazio architettonico contemporaneo. Gli spazi funzionali si sviluppano su due livelli: spazi di tipo pubblico (caffetteria, sala polivalente, biblio- teca); spazi di lavoro e di studio (laboratori di anali- si, spazi per la ricerca) e spazi per l’amministrazione (sale per la direzione, segreteria e riunioni). L’ingresso principale si localizza baricentricamen- te valorizzando l’affaccio sul piccolo fiume e co- struendo un percorso di osservazione dell’acqua, del ponte medioevale, del verde e della materialità dell’edificio. Costruttivamente sono stati effettuati interventi di consolidamento e di isolamento per rispondere alle disposizioni in termini di sicurezza, confort e conte- nimento dei consumi energetici, integrando le soluzioni tecniche ad una idea di spazio architet- tonico con minimi condizionamenti funzionali.
