What is the background?) luau and legends of surfing invitational has been hosted in San Diego for the past 28 years (except during covid) and has raised $900,000 towards cancer research. This event's main goal is combine biotech with surfing and help raise more money than the previous year. This year's goal is to raise $1,000,000 towards cancer research. • Is this event tied to any open proposals? List key stewardship/solicitations you will be making prior to and after the event. Sponsorship proposals will be sent to past company sponosors and new company leads. • Please list key messages that should be presented at the event: The Rell Sunn award will be presented along with a message from the co-chairs and chancellor.
