WHAT IF THE SECRET TO SUCCESS IS FAILURE?

We can become so scared of failure that we don’t even try. At The Outward Bound Trust we stretch young people to achieve more than they think. So it may be difficult to climb a mountain with a heavy rucksack, or canoe on a lake when they haven’t done it before, but once they realise they can do it, these experiences will help them to succeed later.

WHY WE EXIST

It’s our mission to stop self-doubt, remove limitations - whether real or perceived, and end the fear of failure in young people. We teach young people the most important lesson they could ever learn: to believe
in themselves. It’s the super power that transforms their behaviour throughout school, higher education, work, and beyond.
