Conflict in the Workplace                                    How to Deal with Conflict in the Workplace    Are you close with your co-workers? Most people are; because the truth is, we spend more hours with our  colleagues than with our friends or family. Because of this incredible bonding experience, we can become  extremely comfortable with people that we work with. But on the other hand, it can sometimes lead to  disagreements. Conflicts can make you feel uncomfortable and stressed out, even after we leave the office  building. At some point in your career, you will eventually come across a conflict. Handling these issues can  be confusing and frustrating. Keep in mind that throughout the process, it’s important to handle the situation  in a professional manner. Resolving the problem as soon as possible will help the issue from escalating into  something bigger.    Here are 5 ways you can handle conflict using a professional approach:    1. Motivation Quote    The Elephant Rope (Belief)                                                                             (ﺣﺒﻞ اﻟﻔﻴﻞ )اﻹﻳﻤﺎن    A gentleman was walking through an elephant camp,           وﻻﺣﻆ أن، ﻛﺎن أﺣﺪ اﻟﻨﺒﻼء ﻳﺴﻴﺮ ﻓﻲ ﻣﻌﺴﻜﺮ ﻟﻸﻓﻴﺎل  and he spotted that the elephants weren’t being kept       اﻷﻓﻴﺎل ﻟﻢ ﻳﺘﻢ اﻻﺣﺘﻔﺎظ ﺑﻬﺎ ﻓﻲ أﻗﻔﺎص أو ﺑﺎﺳﺘﺨﺪام  in cages or held by the use of chains. All that was hold-   ﻛﻞ ﻣﺎ ﻛﺎن ﻳﻤﻨﻌﻬﻢ ﻣﻦ اﻟﻬﺮوب ﻣﻦ اﻟﻤﻌﺴﻜﺮ.اﻟﺴﻼﺳﻞ  ing them back from escaping the camp, was a small          ﻫﻮ ﻗﻄﻌﺔ ﺻﻐﻴﺮة ﻣﻦ اﻟﺤﺒﻞ ﻣﺮﺑﻮﻃﺔ ﺑﺈﺣﺪى  piece of rope tied to one of their legs. As the man         ﻛﺎن ﻣﺮﺗﺒ ًﻜﺎ، ﻋﻨﺪﻣﺎ ﻛﺎن اﻟﺮﺟﻞ ﻳﺤﺪق ﻓﻲ اﻷﻓﻴﺎل.أرﺟﻠﻬﻢ  gazed upon the elephants, he was completely                ﺗﻤﺎ ًﻣﺎ ﻟﻤﺎذا ﻟﻢ ﺗﺴﺘﺨﺪم اﻷﻓﻴﺎل ﻗﻮﺗﻬﺎ ﻓﻘﻂ ﻟﻜﺴﺮ اﻟﺤﺒﻞ  confused as to why the elephants didn’t just use their      ﻛﺎن ﺑﺈﻣﻜﺎﻧﻬﻢ ﻓﻌﻞ ذﻟﻚ.واﻟﻬﺮوب ﻣﻦ اﻟﻤﻌﺴﻜﺮ  strength to break the rope and escape the camp. They        ﻟﻢ ﻳﺤﺎوﻟﻮا ذﻟﻚ ﻋﻠﻰ اﻹﻃﻼق،  ﻟﻜﻦ ﺑﺪ ًﻻ ﻣﻦ ذﻟﻚ، ﺑﺴﻬﻮﻟﺔ  could easily have done so, but instead, they didn’t try     ﺳﺄل ﻣﺪر ًﺑﺎ ﻗﺮﻳ ًﺒﺎ ﻋﻦ، ﻓﻀﻮﻟ ًﻴﺎ ورﻏﺒﺘﻪ ﻓﻲ ﻣﻌﺮﻓﺔ اﻹﺟﺎﺑﺔ  to at all. Curious and wanting to know the answer, he  asked a trainer nearby why the elephants were just            ا.ﺳﺒﺐ وﻗﻮف اﻷﻓﻴﺎل ﻫﻨﺎك وﻟﻢ ﺗﺤﺎول ﻣﻄﻠ ًﻘﺎ اﻟﻬﺮوب  standing there and never tried to escape.                                                                                                                      :رد اﻟﻤﺪرب  The trainer replied;                                                              ﻧﺴﺘﺨﺪم ﻧﻔﺲ، ﻋﻨﺪﻣﺎ ﻳﻜﻮﻧﻮن ﺻﻐﺎ ًرا ﺟ ًﺪا وأﺻﻐﺮ ﺑﻜﺜﻴﺮ  “when they are very young and much smaller we use           ﻳﻜﻮن ذﻟﻚ ﻛﺎﻓﻴ ًﺎ،  وﻓﻲ ﻫﺬا اﻟﻌﻤﺮ، اﻟﺤﺠﻢ ﻟﻠﺤﺒﻞ ﻟﺮﺑﻄﻬﻢ  the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it’s       ﻳﻜﻮﻧﻮن ﻣﻬﻴﺌﻴﻦ ﻟﻼﻋﺘﻘﺎد ﺑﺄﻧﻬﻢ،  ﻋﻨﺪﻣﺎ ﻳﻜﺒﺮون.ﻟﺤﻤﻠﻬﻢ  enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are condi-       إﻧﻬﻢ ﻳﻌﺘﻘﺪون أن اﻟﺤﺒﻞ ﻻ ﻳﺰال.ﻻ ﻳﺴﺘﻄﻴﻌﻮن اﻻﻧﻔﺼﺎل  tioned to believe they cannot break away. They  believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try           ا. ﻟﺬا ﻓﻬﻢ ﻻ ﻳﺤﺎوﻟﻮن ﻣﻄﻠ ًﻘﺎ اﻟﺘﺤﺮر، ﺑﺈﻣﻜﺎﻧﻪ ﺣﻤﻠﻬﻢ  to break free.”                                                                   اﻟﺴﺒﺐ اﻟﻮﺣﻴﺪ اﻟﺬي ﺟﻌﻞ اﻷﻓﻴﺎل ﻟﻢ ﺗﺘﺤﺮر وﺗﻬﺮب ﻣﻦ  The only reason that the elephants weren’t breaking         اﻟﻤﺨﻴﻢ ﻫﻮ أﻧﻬﺎ ﺗﺒﻨﺖ ﻣﻊ ﻣﺮور اﻟﻮﻗﺖ اﻻﻋﺘﻘﺎد ﺑﺄن ذﻟﻚ ﻟﻢ  free and escaping from the camp was that over time  they adopted the belief that it just wasn’t possible.                                                              ا.ﻳﻜﻦ ﻣﻤﻜ ًﻨﺎ    Moral of the story:                                                                                      :اﻟﻤﻐﺰى ﻣﻦ اﻟﻘﺼﺔ    No matter how much the world tries to hold you back,        اﺳﺘﻤﺮ داﺋ ًﻤﺎ، ﺑﻐﺾ اﻟﻨﻈﺮ ﻋﻦ ﻣﺪى ﻣﺤﺎوﻟﺔ اﻟﻌﺎﻟﻢ إﻋﺎﻗﺘﻚ  always continue with the belief that what you want to       اﻻﻋﺘﻘﺎد ﺑﺄﻧﻚ ﻗﺎدر.ﻓﻲ اﻹﻳﻤﺎن ﺑﺄن ﻣﺎ ﺗﺮﻳﺪ ﺗﺤﻘﻴﻘﻪ ﻣﻤﻜﻦ  achieve is possible.
