ISSN: 2449-4674 VOL. 5 NO. 11 Snapshots of PTT Philippines’ People & Events Product Quality Guidelines Issued The Quality, Security, Safety, Health & Environment (QSSHE) Department has issued a product quality guidelines for all retail stations aimed at monitoring and maintaining the quality of all fuel products and prevent contaminations that might occur during the current crisis brought by the Coronavirus pandemic. QSSHE raised the possibility of product quality deterioration as a result of low inventory and temporary closure of some retail stations. The said guidelines suggested a regular product monitoring through visual checking and manual dipping. The QSSHE Mobile Laboratory has also been put on stand-by mode for any technical support. Operational PTT Stations Posted on Website Majority of PTT retail stations that remain operational during lockdown have been posted on website to advise customers of their business hours. PTT Philippines president and chief executive officer Khun Thitiroj Rergsumran said that the majority of PTT Philippines stations are still operational to provide the fuel requirements of various vehicles like those delivery trucks that transport food, medicine, and other essentials. Café Amazon Re-Opens Select Stores Following the recommendation of the Department of Trade & Industry (DTI) for some sectors to operate under the enhanced community quarantine and general community quarantine, select stores of Café Amazon have re-opened but only for pick up, take-out and delivery. These stores are branches located at PTT Edsa Veterans in Quezon City, PTT Pulilan in Bulacan, and PTT Dasmarinas in Cavite. Manager Karen Gorospe said that the Edsa Veterans store is open from 7am to 3pm, while the Pulilan branch is from 9am to 3pm. The Café Amazon Dasmarinas, on the other hand, is open from 8am to 5pm. Meanwhile, Café Amazon SM North Edsa will also re-open on May 15 pick up, take-out and delivery, as well. Grab Food is the delivery partner of Edsa Veterans, while Kuya, Pabili for Café Amazon Pulilan. Dasmarinas has Lalamove as its delivery partner. These stores also offer a “Buy 1, Take 1” promo for all frontliners. PTTPFI Distributes Washable Face Masks to PTT Frontliners After visiting a number of hospitals in Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon to bring personal protective equipment (PPE) and 70% alcohol, the team of PTT Philippines Foundation also made rounds of PTT service stations and facilities to distribute washable face masks (WFM) for PTT’s own frontliners. The distribution of some 3,600 WFM also covered other PTT employees and partners. Earlier, PTTPFI distributed some 5,000 surgical masks and 30 gallons of 70% alcohol to medical frontliners of Philippine General Hospital in Manila, Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital in San Fernand City, Pampanga, Bataan General Hospital & Medical Center in Balanga City, and the James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital in Olongapo City.

“Team Talks” Online KM Launched The Corporate Communications Department launched its online Knowledge Management (KM) program last April 20, 2020 while most employees were working from home due to the pandemic. Called “Team Talks”, the program serves as a venue for PTT Family to share and discuss various topics that are beneficial to each individual whether for work or personal growth. It is a series of online informative talks and knowledge sharing by PTT’s homegrown leaders from different departments via Microsoft Teams to amplify the culture of collective learning among employees, equip them with relevant knowledge on different disciplines break down barriers, facilitate communication, create opportunities, and eventually leads people to intelligent decisions, , according to CorpComm Manager Jonah Angeles. The first session that tackled Sales and Marketing was conducted last April 21 by Commercial Fuel and Lubes Department’s Dulce Amor Santos and Renato Tan. It was followed by the Tank Truck Delivery Processes and Case Studies of Edgardo Montenegro, Lito Ramiso, and Ronnie Pagdilao of the Operations and Logistics Group. Amidst Coronavirus Lockdown, Employee Orientation Pulls Through Despite the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) that has been in effect since cases of COVID-19 were reported in the country, PTT Philippines has gotten its way to brief its new employees about the company and its operations through an online Knowledge Management (KM) session. The Human Resources Department, in collaboration with the Corporate Communications Department, has successfully conducted the New Employees Orientation last April 20-23, 2020 thru the live online KM using the Microsoft Teams program. PTT Philippines president and chief executive officer Khun Thitiroj Rergsumran delivered a short message during the opening day, while Corporate Support Director Paul Senador presented the company’s vision, mission, SPIRIT core values, and PTT Way and Corporate Governance policies, among others. Other Department Managers and/or representatives presented an overview of their respective area of responsibilities. The new employees who participated in the session are Porfirio Baliton Alcantara, Andrix Baluyot, Jillene Mae Castro, Jerwin Dela Cruz, Christine Joy Jadormio, Paul Limuel Mata, Eunice Anne Narvadez, Jim Knowel Nonat, Rizalyn Nuevo, Jon Dave Bacong, and Robin Munoz.
