ISSN: 2449-4674 VOL. 5 NO. 12 Snapshots of PTT Philippines’ People & Events 24th Anniversary: KTR, DCA cite employees, partners PTT Philippines’ top executives have paid tribute to its employees and business partners in separate addresses to commemorate the company’s 24th anniversary in the country. PTT Philippines Corporation President & CEO Thitiroj Rergsumran acknowledged every member of the PTT Family for their resilience to weather all the challenges that the company had and has to go through, enabling the Thai oil firm to remain in the league of major players in the Philippines. PTT Philippines Trading Corporation President & CEO Danilo Alabado, on the other hand, looked back at how the company progressed in the last 24 years and affirmed how both the employees and business partners worked closely together to achieve success, citing them as the company’s biggest assets. Meanwhile, as part of the simple anniversary celebration, fun games for employees was conducted online by the Corporate Communications Department. A team game Family Feud was won by the Business Partner Development after prevailing over groups representing Academy, IT, and HR/Admin. An online Bingo game was also conducted and participated in by 29 employees.

Aeata community receives assistance from PTT Foundation amidst lockdown PTT Philippines Foundation Inc. has reached out to an Aeta community in Morong, Bataan to distribute food packs and hygiene kits at the height of the community lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. About 148 families from the Magbukun Tribe received the assistance from a team of PTT Foundation’s “Mission of Hope” whose members earlier also visited other communities, including some medical institutions to provide assistance to the so-called frontliners. The Magbukun Tribe, a long-time partner of PTT Philippines’ in its “Gas Up for a Tree Project”, is one of the most marginalized sectors in the country and vulnerable to current health contagion. Infographics on proper hygiene and symptoms of COVID-19 were also shared and distributed during the outreach activity. It was held at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone’s Morong Gate due to the lockdown that was implemented by the Morong local government unit. Café Amazon starts reopening stores More stores of Café Amazon started reopening in May since the community lockdown was implemented in March. Among the branches that reopened include the ones located in Cavite City, Project 4 in Quezon City, Pavilion Mall in Binan, Laguna, Bravo Business Center in Batangas and the Primark Tagaytay. With shorter store hours, these reopened Café Amazon stores were also limited to offering its products through pick-up and delivery only in accordance with the safety guidelines and protocols issued by the national and local governments.

RTD trainings conducted online Despite the community lockdown, the Retail Training Department made its regular trainings for PTT Station Dealers and Forecourt Personnel through virtual, bringing the learning sessions right inside the participants respective homes or stations using a web-based program. The continuous trainings were conducted Tuesdays and Thursdays every week on various topics such as Forecourt Safety: Social Distancing and Wearing of Face Masks, Customer Relations and Grooming, Steps on Safely Engaging Customers, Handling Customer Complaints, Cash Management & Thefts Deterrence, and Basic Product Knowledge, among others. Manager Jonathan Espino spearheaded his team in conducting the learning sessions online. Recently, they had Randy Tolete and Tim Villaluz of the Engineering and Lubes Departments, respectively, as resource persons. On-line participants had a high of 46 stations per session, with lowest at 29. Station participants came from as far as Ilocos Norte in the north and Indang, Cavite in down south. Some PTT Dealers also actively participated during the online learning sessions. Café Amazon’s Mother’s Day Treat In celebration of Mother’s Day last May 10, 2020, Café Amazon launched a sales promotion activity entitled “Mother’s Day Treat Promo” where customers got free Lychee juice for every purchase of any two Café Amazon drinks. The three-day promo ran from May 8-10,2020 at the three reopened Café Amazon stores -- the EDSA Veterans, Pulilan and Dasmarinas. Café Amazon also launched another promo for the month of June entitled “TEA-RRIFIC Two Promo” where for every purchase of Iced Green Tea Latte, customers can get another Iced GreenTea Latte or Iced Thai Milk tea for free. All open Café Amazon stores for the June promo are participating.

KM series revisits basic skills, info In the continuing online Knowledge Management (KM) series called “Team Talks”, at least six different topics – ranging from product information to employees’ welfare -- were presented during the month of May with homegrown leaders serving as resource persons. Academy’s Jonathan Espino revisited the Blue Innovation to refresh PTT personnel about the fuel products. The Lubricants team of Nutthawut Rungsimuntuchat and Nelly Sevilla followed suit with its Basic Knowledge Webinar on PTT Lubricants. A re-run of Sales & Marketing topic was presented by Commercial team’s Dulce Amor Santos and Renato Tan. Equally interesting was the “Solar Power 101” of Marketer Michelle Dosado and Engineering’s Cristy Faith Ocampo, the most attended online KM so far with 48 participants. Meanwhile, the Corporate Communication Department’s tandem of Ryan Saldivar and Princess Dianna Evangelio tackled the Guidelines on the Usage of PTT Logo and Colors. To cap the month of May, Support Director Paul Senador conducted an almost four-hour presentation and discussion on Organizational Discipline with supervisors and other key personnel as participants. A total of 231 PTT staff joined in the six webinars conducted during the month of May. Corporate Communications Manager Jonah Angeles said that more interesting topics have been scheduled for the month of June.
