He further said Kenya is on course to producing surplus food this year due to the Government’s deliber- ate plan to subsidise production. The President observes that protests marked by destruction of property and loss of lives will not curtail the price of living & warned the Opposition to keep off demonstrations. Meanwhile the UDA Secretary General Cleo- phas Malala has pronounced that the Kenya Kwanza coalition will not agree to a handshake with the opposi- tion. Malala claims that Azimio leader Raila Odinga was 'persistent' on getting a handshake from the Kenya Kwanza team. He states that leaders allied to the Kenya Kwan- za coalition are strongly opposing the move and warns that a handshake government would 'destroy' the Ken- ya Kwanza administration. Malala's remarks comes ahead of talks expected between the two coalitions. The talks are meant to re- solve the issues facing the country. Moses Kuria remarked, “To my bosses William Ruto and Raila Odinga you are on the RIGHT side of history. All Kenyans are behind you for as long as we do not create another Mongrel like the Nusu Mkate confusion.” When the news of the meeting between the President and Raila came out with the agenda items listed, Babu Owino questioned the proposals fronted for Bipartisan talks:… “Where’s the cost of living among the Terms of Reference? We better talk in the streets….” He stated. The President and his team have made it clear to the likes of Hon Owino that the there is no point of itemizing agenda points in the talks when the subject of cost living has already been tackled in the KK Manifes- to as launched last year. Said the DP, “I arrived back in the country this evening( Satur- day ) to shocking news of the death of Rev. Fr Joseph Kamamia, the Father-in-Charge of Kariko Parish in Othaya Constituency after a trag- ic road accident last night. Father Kamamia served at Gikumbo Parish in Mathira Con- stituency when I was the area Member of Parliament. “The young Father won our hearts through pragmatic leader- ship, love and empathy for the poor. He was full of kindness. He took time to listen and help the less fortunate members of the society. Through our engagements, he recommended to me tens of orphans and other very deserving children for bursary allocation. “I admired his tenacity and love for the ordinary people; I be- came one of his greatest admirers. I was crestfallen when he was transferred out of my Constituency; I, however, kept in touch with him until his demise. “My deepest condolences to his family, his fellow Priests in Nyeri Archdiocese, the Catholic faithful of Gikumbo and Kariko Par- ishes and the tens of children whose lives he touched. “Fare thee well my friend and younger brother.
