6 The President’s Digest Monday, August 7, 2023 Where Pictures Talk Thousands Of Words Abdi Guliye hasNo.450 MONDAY, AUGUST 7, 2023 Their Excellences Signature said it all. Finito... Digest Ruto-Raila “Talks” will be waste of valuable public time: Avoid it It is exactly one year after the Presidential Elections were held in Ken- ya. The results of that election were announced by the IEBC as hav- ing been won by one William Samoei Ruto, whom the IEBC declared the winner and handed over to him a Certificate of the Winner of the Presidential Election in Kenya in 2022. The Azimio Party, led by Raila Odinga came number two, mak- ing it to loose that contest alongside other parties that contested the presidency as well. Azimio Party felt aggrieved and took IEBC and Ruto to the Su- preme Court in a bid to move the court to overturn Ruto’s win, a bid that flopped and hit the rocks. In effect, that was double declaration of Ruto’s win as the bona fide, constitutionally, legally, lawfully, rightfully and democratically elected President of the Republic of Kenya. What ought to have happened after that Supreme Court ruling is for all parties to hit the road and do all that appertains to the consti- tutional provisions for each party. President Ruto and his party, KK, hit the road and for the last one year have discharged their constitutional obligations of running the government of Kenya. On the other hand, the Official Opposition abandoned its con- stitutional mandate of checking and balancing the government and have been chasing a futile exercise of wanting to “Talk” with the gov- ernment for a topic that no one knows not what it is all about. If the official opposition have been receiving salaries, then it is for undone work and Kenyans demand accountability for any penny paid to any public officer. If the “Talks” if for a similar handshake like the unfortunate 2018 Uhuru-Raila phenomenon, Kenyans weren't amused by that handshake and won’t be amused with a Ruto-Raila handshake either.

The President’s Digest Monday, August 7, 2023 Where Pictures Talk Thousands Of Words 7 The President of the Republic of Kenya, His Excellency Dr William Samoei Ruto has gone beyond his constitutional mandate to lead Kenya politically and Democratically but is also leading his country men and women into ways of worshipping God through the now popular National Prayers and Thanksgiving Service Days that are held almost every other Sunday across the country. This might look extraordinary and out of scope for the President who is political and supposedly unsecular, but not so for a President who is faith based. The doings of the LORD will definitely be made manifest in the fullness of the time of God. Watch this space...
