Add a little bit of body text •Transpiration is the process of water movement through a plant and its evaporation from aerial parts, such as leaves, stems and flowers. Water is necessary for plants but only a small amount of water taken up by the roots is used for growth and metabolism Ojas Rishi 10th A
HOW TRANSPIRATION OCCURS? TRANSPIRATION OCCURS THROUGH THE STOMATAL APERTURES, AND CAN BE THOUGHT OF AS A NECESSARY \"COST\" ASSOCIATED WITH THE OPENING OF THE STOMATA TO ALLOW THE DIFFUSION OF CARBON DIOXIDE GAS FROM THE AIR FOR PHOTOSYNTHESIS. TRANSPIRATION ALSO COOLS PLANTS. Ojas RIshi 10th A
PHOTOSYNTHESIS Photosynthesis is a process used by plants and other organisms to convert light energy into chemical energy that, through cellular respiration, can later be released to fuel the organism's metabolic activities. Ojas Rishi 10th A
HOW DOES PHOTOSYNTHESIS TAKE PLACE Photosynthesis takes place inside plant cells in small objects called chloroplasts. Plants get carbon dioxide from the air through their leaves, and water from the ground through their roots. Light energy comes from the Sun. The oxygen produced is released into the air from the leaves. Ojas Rishi 10th A
