Glossing.We use this form to transcribe the language as we see it. Note: The target language (in this case, English) may not have equivalent words to represent the original language (ASL) - so sometimes it is not always accurate. Fortunately, the Liddell & Johnson notation model allows us to describe the language in acute detail and identify the exact parameters such as hand orientation and movement in the signs depicted.
