He is Gone You can shed tears that he is gone Or you can smile because he has lived. You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left. Your heart can be empty because you can’t see him Or you can be full of the love that you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember him and only that he is gone Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
Psalm 23:1-6 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadowof death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.Thou preparest a table before me in the presence ofmine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
A Scot's Farewell When I come to the end of the road, and the sun has set for me, I want no tears in a gloom-filled room. Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little but not too long, and not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared. Miss me – but let me go. For this is a journey that we all must take and each must go alone It’s all part of the Master’s plan, a step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick of heart go to the friends we know and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds. Miss me – but let me go.
