The nation will never celebrate the freedom without remembering the servicemen who offered their life for the country. 30th November 2019 is marked as the commemoration Day.in Dunes international school we remembered the martyrs of UAE by offering silent prayer.

“Success doesn’t come from what you do occasionally but from what you do consistently.” Students are given continuous practice in class to prepare them well for the Pe- riodic Test 2 examination. Students solve the worksheets and the revision questions in class by discussing their ideas and thoughts with their class- mates and clearing their doubts with the teacher.

In learning measurement, capacity is one of the most important part for grade 1 stu- dents. They have done an activity using measuring cups and water. They have ap- plied the concept of more and less using the resources and measured the capacity of different types of containers. They learnt how to measure the capacity and how to cpompare the capacity of different contain- ers.

Clothes protect us from heat, dust, rain and cold. In this activi- ty students were able to under- stand the importance of clothes as our basic need and decide what type of clothes they should wear in different seasons. This ac- tivity also helps the students to understand that all clothes are not made from the same material and identify some fabrics like cot- ton and wool. 8

Reading activity Game fast train: Students moved in class as a train and stopped in front of the board and pro- gressed one by one to read the words from the board In this activity students learned how to spell and read by confidently . 9

HINDI : Learning matra with amazing pictures. This activity allows develop writing skills. Children’s identify the pictures and write the correct name add with in proper for- mation. The purpose of this activity how to learn how to speak then how to write the matrra with letter. The students of grade- 1 enthusiastically presented their views about the picture and able to learn the new words in hindi and English mean- ing also. 10

Students were able to speak about their Fa- ther’s Profession. They took great pride in speaking about the same. They were able to describe the job profile and were known about the responsibilities their fathers carry out. Students were able to express their feel- ings about the profession they would like to take up when they become responsible individ- uals and were able to reason out why they would choose it. Students were able to quote this activity as ‘My Identity’. 11

Morning assemblies are a very important part in a student’s life. Students learn actions to go along with the song, which gives a sense of happiness and excitement to start the day. Singing boosts confidence and dancing keeps one active and 12

Libraries for children are essential for information and development. It helps them to enhance their study and research skills and explain how to use the latest technologies to enhance their learning The students were engaged in free reading and listening activity to develop an appreciative listening to enjoy the story, music and the information 13

Swimming is a great workout because you need to move your whole body against the resistance of the water. Swimming is a good all-round activity because it: keeps your heart rate up but takes some of the impact stress off your body . 14

Colour is the pulse of the painting” Successful use of colour in painting requires a thorough un- derstanding of both colour theory and colour mixing and ap- plication. In painting and other fine arts, there are three pri- mary colours: red, blue, and yellow. They are called primary colours because they cannot be created by mixing any other colours. Primary colours form the basis for colour theory or colour mixing, as these three colours are the basic building blocks of colour from which it is possible to mix most other colours. Students learned to mix the primary colours appro- priately to form secondary colours. 15
