16 Countries and Flags The Indian na onal flag was designed as a symbol of freedom. It is a horizontal tricolor in equal propor on of deep saffron on the top, white in the middle and dark green at the bo om. At the centre of the white band is a wheel in blue colour which is the famous Ashoka Chakra. The wheel has 24 spokes. The flag of United Kingdom or Great Britain and Northern Ireland is some mes called the Union Jack. It has red, white and blue colour.
