A WORD FROM OUR PASTOR: Dr. Ken Pledger The 2019-2020 was going great. We had a great spirit with the students and the staff. Our young people were always excited during the chapel services, and many of them were saved this year and made great decisions for the Lord. Then the virus came, and our lives were changed. Our teachers have done a great job working with our students to finish out the school year online. Because of the virus, we have also had to change our plans for graduation. This will for sure be a school year we will never forget! We are looking forward to getting everyone back together this fall! Each of you are loved, and I am thankful for the Lord's mercy in our lives. 4
A WORD FROM OUR PRINCIPAL: Bro. Tim Pledger This 2019-2020 school year has been a testament to our staff, student body, and families as to their commitment to always “thrive”. “Thriving” is not simply surviving the struggles and circumstances which life sometimes throws our way. America and the world have felt the turbulence of disease and change that was brought on us by the coronavirus these last months. But God has been faithful to each of us. Our CCA family has been forced to make adjustments to our system and way of life. We have all been compelled to make concessions and modifications to our lifestyles and schedules. Yet God is faithful. He has provided and allowed us to “thrive” through it all. With God’s help, this experience will make us stronger in faith and more committed to excellence. We have no desire to flee and hide from today’s challenges as a school, a church, and a people. We want to “thrive” no matter the adversity. Tomorrow's successes are built on the shoulders of today's struggles. God help us all not to be satisfied with mediocrity but to always “thrive” and be the best we can be!!! 5

Pastor Lee Fulenwider learned at an early age the importance of making Jesus and church the center of family life. He was blessed by God to have parents who taught him to love Jesus and serve in the church. And, although he was raised in church, it wasn't until October of 1998 that he committed to trust Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. At that time, he realized that his service in church could not make him acceptable to God--only faith in Jesus Christ could save him. Pastor Lee surrendered to the ministry in June of 2001, after attending a Youth Camp in Hudson, Florida. He met with his pastor, Dr. Jerry A. Robinson, and was soon given the position of Youth Director. Pastor Lee served as the volunteer Youth Director at Centerpoint Baptist Church before coming on staff in a full-time capacity. After many years of faithful service to to the Lord and Ceneterpoint Baptist Church, Pastor Lee now serves as the Pastor there. On July 7, 2000, Pastor Lee married his wife, Kristin. The Lord has blessed their home with four children: Reid, Emma, Alexis, and Andrew. The Fulenwider family serves the Lord together at Centerpoint Baptist Church, in Middleburg, Florida. The Bible says in Proverbs 18:22 \"Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favor of the Lord.\" Ms. Kristin is a blessing and a wonderful help-meet to Pastor Lee. Pastor Lee believes that the way for the lost to be reached is for God's people to love Jesus and each other and to tell the world of our Lord Jesus, who is mighty to save! 7
2018-2019 TEACHER OF THE YEAR: Mrs. McMullin has been teaching at CCA for 11 years. She LOVES to teach! Her students and their parents are so appreciative of her organization and structured lessons. Her heart for the Lord and His Word are an intrigal part of her daily class life. She always does her best to make every day fun! Her goal is to make kids like school! Mrs.McMullin has a sincere love and concern for her students and their families and prays for them. The McMullin family has been a great asset to Calvary Baptist Church and Calvary Christian Academy. Mrs. McMullin and her family have a bus route that picks up boys & girls & families and brings them to church each week. Mrs. McMullin has taught kindergarten, oversaw elementary classes when using the ACE curriculum and has in recent years been the 3rd grade teacher at CCA. She has been a wonderful influence and godly example to all the children who have passed through her classes. Mrs. McMullin is also a wonderful co-worker. Some of our newer teachers can look to her for advice & tips! She is always willing to help and puts her best effort in whatever she is doing. We love & appreciate you, Mrs. McMullin! May God continue to use & bless you and your family. 8
